And yet they were still at PAX. I guess with the announcement of the Android/Ipad/Switch versions, it makes sense, but still.
Also that game sorta falls apart at the end. Like, to the point where I think less fondly of the earlier parts of the game because of all the plot holes that were maybe caused by running out of Kickstarter money?
Heat Signature doesn't have the same pop for me that Gunpoint had, but I am still interested. I remember thinking the art looked too abstract when it was first announced, but I guess you can really only do so much with that style and gameplay.
patch to CSD2 today completely changed how buzz works so i'm definitely gonna wait a week or two to play it and let all these launch rebalance patches roll in
The home stuck/undertake comparisons tend to be overstated imo

Homestuck and Undertale both have good writing but that's about all they have in common (Besides y'know, the guy who made Undertale also making a bunch of awesome music for Homestuck and also this new game!)
But you don't need any prior knowledge so you can always give it a shot and see
i hear hiveswap getting positive buzz from people who stopped liking and reading homestuck, but i've got to wait for a bit before I have time to play it myself
From what little I've played of hiveswap I think it's well animated and the dialogue is charming and/or funny.
That being said I've already gotten references to two or three things from late chapters of the comic and I've been in like 3 rooms so having read the comic will definitely enhance the game. They're mostly subtle, like being able to pick up almost immediately who Joey's babysitter is, or recognizing a pattern on a weird key.
Hiveswap could be the greatest game ever created but if there are any trolls in it I am not going to subject myself to that amount of eye strain and required amount of concentration to figure out what they are saying.

I kept waiting for the Switch version like an idiot, but I think I have to get in on it for that
I know Yooka Laylee didn't exactly set the world on fire but I have to know
Yooka-Laylee suffers for being exactly the retro-throwback the devs were aiming for and nothing more, coupled with limited asset design (likely due to its kickstarter origins) causing them to make four WAY TOO HUGE worlds rather than 8 normal sized ones. So you get the benefit of less variety AND spending too damn long in these stages tracking down collectibles.
The Colonists is a settlement building game inspired by classic titles like The Settlers and the Anno series.
You take control of a team of robots tasked with settling a newly-discovered planet, preparing the ground for an influx of inhabitants from their homeworld.
You'll advance from the Stone Age to the Space Age as you build the infrastructure for your colony by constructing complex road, boat, train and drone transport systems.

As an update, guess who managed to snag a Nintendo switch today!
Played about 15 minutes of Zelda and immediately ordered a pro controller off Amazon.
Undertale was really really good and I guess that's A Homestuck

is it funny? is it a drama? is it super anime, but in that way Undertale or Friends At The Table are where it's Americans imitating anime?

there's a good Peter Cullen impression in the background of that

The Good Life is not happening
maybe a big publisher will see that they got at least a bit of money and help fund it
