Luke vs Vader is great because Vader realizes how much of a dingus his son is an just clowns on him with literal trash.
Until Luke gets one lucky hit and Vader says "Fuck this" and cuts of his gat damn hand.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
The best lightsaber fight is still Luke v Vader in ESB
In terms of pacing and variety, I'd say yes. But for me, nothing beats the moment where Luke snaps, and just beats Vader like a drum. There's something to be said for a scene where Luke is striking Vader so hard his cybernetic hand is breaking. That and the music.

The best line delivery in the series might be "Prepare my shuttle," after the first Luke/Vader duel.
Because it's somehow got just the right mix of anger, disappointment, irritation, and fatherly pride. Luke's counter to Vader's "It's the only way" is extra as fuck and a dramatic bitch like Anakin would appreciate the theatrics of it.
when I rewatch the Phantom Menace duel it's super obvious to me that it's all style and little substance and half the kicks don't land and they all just won't stop flipping
but I don't really care cause Duel of the Fates could make somebody making a sandwich look cool as fuck
Around the time the first movie came out, the implication was that the Knights of Ren were a group of disaffected students who followed Kylo Ren to the dark side and destroyed Luke's academy.
Since the comic was announced and a slight description given, the implication has been that
the Knights of Ren were a group that already existed, and that Ben was inducted into them after he went dark.
This further implies that Ren is kind of like Darth.

aw, I like the first origin better
It's nice we're getting some other new warrior sects out there that may or may not be force sensitive. I can't really think of a good one made since the Echani.

I'll be way more interested in the Knights of Ren if they're more like a league of various specialists, rather than a guild of NotJedi.
actually the best star wars lightsaber fight was in Bedford, Nova Scotia around 11 PM when I was 14, my step dad and I broke no less than 4 plastic battery-powered lightsabers absolutely hammering out a fight on our driveway and at one point I was dual wielding soooooooo

Well if youre here to tell us about this Carnage...

The first part of the fight is really bad for that for sure
But on rewatch I was surprised how well paced the second half of the fight is.
Separating out each fighter and giving them time to stare each other down is just great and builds up so much anticipation for the moment they can get at each other again.
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.
The Clones Wars CG show had some fantastic laser sword fights, especially in the later seasons.
(and of course the Tartakovsky one goes without saying)
Clone wars is really good at communicating personality through its fights. Obi-wan keeps that Crouching tiger, hidden dragon-esque soft fighting style, opress is all power but no technique, dooku smoothly combines lightsaber and force techniques but hes starting to lose a step and gets tired as fights go on. Anakin starts to get quite Vader-y in his later fights, every time his lightsaber lands its like they're getting hit with a big invisible weight.

The only person who lobs a lightsaber in the prequels at all is Yoda, once, in a very brief and utilitarian fashion.
Vader throwing his at Luke in ROTJ had more flair to it.
In the clone wars among other light sabre things, someone is dumb enough to steal Anakin's sabre and hangs it on his belt. Obi wan would've just used force pull to get it back. Anakin ignites it before pulling it...

Oh yeah, that moment is an all time classic
The ESB one is just my go-to for lightsabers

Is this what religion feels like
Do you feel an overwhelming sense of guilt constantly
Never despite how many terrible things I do!

This is true, except actually this version:

Explain yourselves!
No I also don't like this
I hadn't bothered to see any of the new movies until someone posted this on twitter.
I didn't care for the light saber throws in the prequels
Vader throwing his at Luke in ROTJ had more flair to it.

I only lived there for kind two and a half years
I've got it bad this year
I have... plans.
there are some good ideas here but on the whole it's too enamored of its concept, someone needed to step in and say "no, less is more"
