I think you need more than two players to make monopoly interesting. Bring back Rad Tad and Risky Biznu! Dan was being a dick when he was like "you have to offer me a much better deal because you're the one whose desperate" but he wasn't wrong. Even when he's losing Dan hates to trade because he doesn't ever want the other player to gain an advantage. If there are more players, it's harder to get a monopoly and trading is less of a strongarm.

Agreed. Monopoly is not good at all with only 2 players.
And somehow we've done like 6 different series of them just playing it. It's interesting at this point.

I think House Rules will add flair, but I think adding a CPU would be nice too. Similar to Mario Party. They're not playing Mario Party with just the two of them, and having the extra variance and opponents adds more fun and leads to funnier situations in this type of game.

I don't get why Dan understanding game theory to some small degree makes him a dick. Why should any player take a trade that they don't need to win that could give their opponent the tools to win?
I do agree that adding bots or house rules will make the games less predictable without ordering either player to play less intelligently.
It's just really easy to see who benefits more by a trade in Monopoly. For a game ostensibly about trading, it really feels actively discouraged, until someone is desperate and becomes willing to trade at a disadvantage just to stay in the game.
Admittedly, this sort of behavior was probably intentional on the part of the original designer, who wanted to use the game to show how bad for society unchecked landlords and monopolies were.

That's why I said he wasn't wrong. He was winning and had no reason to allow Arin a chance to win unless Dan continued to have a huge advantage. It's still a bit of a dick move when Arin offers a fair trade that leans in Dan's favour and Dan counters with even more properties and an extra $200 just because he can. Sometimes it's okay to be nice and even the playing field a bit, especially since this isn't esports and winning doesn't mean anything.
Can you imagine living a reality where something like that happens to you? Just watching yourself in a video game like that? It hurts my brain to imagine it.
They should have programmed the Grumps to idle in the living room, staring at the painting.
You know what? Nanowrimo's cancelled on account of the world is stupid.

Damn I want to see them play through it again.
Also that is so fuckin weird to see them talking about themselves in a game. Especially standing around in a game you can get people naked in. I would be so weirded out. I bet they are too but hold it together for the video.
They also had a pretty great "bad games we played" complication come out today.
Though I take issue with including Deadly Premonition alongside shovelware like this.

This is a feature, not a bug.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Good. I know they try to stay 'neutral' on their channel to keep the fan base larger but fuck that. About time they picked a side and apologized for the things they've said in the past.
Not that that is a cure all but it's a good start.
Arin asked about it yesterday. I think he was worried about it coming from the brand and feeling hollow instead of having any meaning. Arin has been getting the message out there on his personal account since this all started.
So they're self quarantining themselves after they both had to go out in the real world for a bit. Really cool of them to do that.

The rocket league episodes have been some of the best grumps I have seen in a while. That was certainly something special. You actually got to see Dan noticeably grow as a player. Their teamwork by the end was carrying them above their skill level for sure.

Tune in for the Pro Gamer Moment (TM) where Sonic warns "Be careful not to fall!" and Arin starts mocking the dialogue. You'll never guess what happens next...
(But Sonic Heroes is legit awful and is the only 3D Sonic I started playing but could not bring myself to finish).

Is this just a film adaptation of Kitty Love?
Maybe now they'll stop with the racist voices/caricatures they do.
Cursed Mountain is an all-timer.
