I think the Nets increased their chances at a title. They also increased their chances of a first round flameout. Steve Nash is getting a fucking workout as a first time coach.

I guess we’ll learn real quick if Steve Nash is a good coach.
If he can take those egos and win a championship then he might be the next Auerbach

Can that team even defend? That’s still my biggest concern, especially since the Lakers have come out this year all “yeah we got way better on offense and still defend well, and are getting away with Davis at the 4 as long as possible.”
I think Steve Nash is smart enough to know that the power of having these 3 guys is:
• Kyrie and Durant
• Harden + 4 random dudes who are cleared to play slowing the game down via Harden-ball and giving more time to rest Kyrie and Durant
• Resting 1 for a whole game at a time as needed for the grueling schedule
Putting all 3 at the same time is just asking to get their asses whupped
They might really struggle in the playoffs, although Kyrie and Durant definitely elevate their games in the postseason....maybe they can offset Harden’s inconsistency when it counts
Maybe in the playoffs they can really lock it down and only give up 130 points per game

It's unfair to KD to lump him in with Harden and Kyrie. It's probably unfair to lump in Harden with Kyrie, too, given the former's massive offensive workload.
It's really just Kyrie who somehow feels like it's OK to just go through the motions most of the time but yet never have to carry a team on his own (and yet wants to get all the credit for doing so).
John Wall, Victor Oladipo, Boogie - is that a good enough core to do something in the West?
The players they got are good, but more importantly they have a fuck ton of draft picks coming up so they're going to be good for a long time in the future too.

Yeah I don't know what Kyrie is trying to prove. I suspected the same but I guess he's publicly breaking COVID protocol himself so who knows.
The rockets all just look so bummed after that 3 pointer. I love it.
Edit: well let’s see what they gave up first
Stupid Nets. Just stupid.
not over yet
The championship Lakers replaced Dwight Howard with Montrezl Harrell.

That's a lot of draft capital, and a chance to see if Oladipo works out

Hahaha, it's not like you missed the opportunity for anything. Harden was still traded when you finished up.
Do they even play defense with that lineup?

This lineup sucks shit though

They could have got a 2nd round pick and a new washing machine and it would have been a good deal for them.
