Are the models that come with that Imperium sub the push fit kind?
Given what I know of the contents, for the most part no. Some might be, but most aren't unless they recut sprues specially, which seems unlikely.
Tri-Optimum reminds you that there are only one-hundred-sixty-three shopping days until Christmas. Just 1 extra work cycle twice a week will give you the spending money you need to make this holiday a very special one.
Man, I wish I had the time, the space, or the people to play Adeptus Titanicus with. It looks really neat. And with the starter and the new batallion next week you can get like all the rules, gaming material, and two decently sized armies (as far as I can tell) to start out for about 300€ (1 warlord, 1 warbringer, 3 reavers, 4 warhounds, 2 knights)
edit: sororitas rebox leaks are starting to show up.
Exorcist is getting a major downgrade. -1S/T/W. both missile variants get one AP less, conflagration rockets get D2 at least. so you get to choose between a heavy bolter profile (3d6 shots) and a krak missile profile (3d3 shots). Maybe they want te new castigator to take over the direct damage heavy hitter role and the exorcists becomes a real artillery piece iwth indirect fire.
Triumph of St. Katerine lost 4 attacks in its profile, but that's probably just the martyr's sword getting turned into bonus attacks.
edit edit:
and regarding Kastellans getting a weapons upgrade. Doesn't seem like it. the heavy phosphor blaster on the archeopter keeps its current stats. So the onager phosphor gun is indeed a new variant.

The box looks pretty incredible, but I believe it's a warlord, nemesis, reaver, and two warhounds. If the leaked price is right you're still getting the reaver/warhounds for free, and the other two for a little less than retail. You could buy that and get nothing else for the game (maybe some alternate weapon options) and be just fine.
Whenever someone mentions Titanicus I gotta pop up and say how much fun it is. Each game tends to have one very fun story moment, like incredibly important blast weapon shots scattering back onto your own titans, or a dying titan keeling over and crashing into other titans on their way down. Or when my warlord blew up with a very bad reactor track and took our 2 more of my titans that I kept close to share shields but not share explosions.
I was counting the contents of both a starter set and the new set up for preorder this weekend. The starter set is 2 reavers, two warhounds, two knights plus rules, dice, templates and such. I'd need the rules to play after all
Ah my mistake. I was going to say the accessory sprue is only 20 bucks and probably a better way to supplement, but you still need those specialized Titanicus dice.

Ugh, that stupid Titanicus battleforce box is looking tempting. I really need to sit my ass down and start gluing plastic together.

Spent the morning building and magnetizing this
Only a rhino and all of my DG (5k points) are built
I just have 2 warhounds and a reaver with a chainfist/meltacannon I picked up second hand
I just got them for the I have a titan! and to paint yet they still sit in the bag I put them in {they are still on the sprues} I had bought them a little before I got fired so...
Titanicus is great, but I've only been able to play it twice because no one in my area plays it. I keep buying models hoping to someday lure someone in via a demo game, but so far no luck.
The new Battleforce is a pretty solid deal though. Hopefully it'll bring more people into the game.
Related qustion: Besides the terminals, do you need the weapon cards too? I'm guessing the ones in the starter set are only for the stuff that'S in the set and the indvidual btitan boxes come with neither termnals or cards, right?

The Warbringer comes with both a terminal and weapon cards. No idea if the other Titans have this now.
The new Loyalist book has a page in the contents for weapon profiles though.
Managed to get in two games yesterday thanks to grandparents babysitting for my opponents. The first game was 500 points vs my brother's nids. The battle came down to whether I could finish off his exocrine and kill off his gants before his tervigon could give birth yet again. Tragically, after dropping 6 wounds on the exocrine turn 1 my chronomancer missed every other shot he took and the t8 kept my warriors from taking off the last two wounds. He was able to smartly remove models such that my souped up trashcans were dropped out of combat and I was unable to utilize their 14! attacks to finish the gants. In the end he managed to kill my warlord turn 5 which gave him a 1 point victory.
Game two was 1k vs my buddy's deathwatch.
I had never experienced how powerful warriors could be at small point levels and so I put together a list all about making warriors as annoying as possible. 20 reaper warriors, chronomancer, technomancer, ghost ark, reanimator, 5 lychguard, cryptothralls, and Anrakyr (I have always wanted to control a vehicle with him and had never successfully done so). I went first and used veil to launch onto an objective and shoot holes in his big squad of troops. My chronomancer dropped 6 wounds on his dreadnought and various other plinking occured. His turn came and he killed 8 warriors and in a very poor decision overcharged his plasma to make sure my reanimator died. Die it did, to the first marine shooting it. who then exploded. As did two of the next four. The surviving two marines did manage to charge and finish off my cryptothralls rip but Anrakyr intervened and they're in bits now. His bikes, which always perform poorly vs me, failed their 5 inch charge forcing him to use a cp reroll and then stole my home objective but only killed two of the lychguard.
Turn two I resurrected d3 + d6 warriors which ended up being 7 of 8 lol, and I finally had the opportunity to seize control of a vehicle's gun using Anrakyr! The roll passed and I overcharged the dreadnaught's big plasma gun into his warlord with predictable results (dead warlord, damage to the naught). The cool thing about resurrecting so many warriors (besides the obvious) is that I put them on the other side of the formation and all of a sudden my warriors which had been touching the left side of the board were now in place to shoot/charge the objective back in my deployment zone. Anrakyr did five wounds to the dreadnought with his tachyon arrow and to add insult to injury my chronomancer did an additional 6 to removing the final wound. My ghost ark shot real well and deleted his final squad of marines, all but one bike was shot down by my warriors/technomancer and he conceded having only a single bike and his librarian alive.
We were both pretty stunned at how the game played out and I certainly wouldn't bring that list to play a friendly game again. The chronomancer is just so good that I can't imagine bringing warriors without him. Or pretty much any list? Being able to give most any unit a 5++ (and reroll charges) and having an 8S, -3 ap, d3+3 gun is incredible, and then also getting some sweet arkana choices is just *chef's kiss*. This is also the first time I really used a ghost ark in 9th and they are also very good support for warriors (ditto the technomancer).
Just played the first match of 50pl each in the necron/DG campaign my buddy and I have been working through.
The mission had 5 data points given evenly to units in your army. 10pl for performing an action to move a data point to another unit within 18, 10 points for killing a unit with a data point. Endgame objective gave 10pts per data point left on a character at the end.
He brought: overlord, destroyer lord, 6 skorpekh, 2 heavy destroyers, 20 warriors, a triarch stalker
I brought: lord of contagion, Daemon Prince, 3 deathshroud, 5 blightlords, a bloat drone, a PBC, and a tallyman.
Due to me having more crusade points on my army he started with 8cp to my 6.
It makes for a pretty short batrep. We went five turns with me grinding up the board and him bouncing off.
Turn one my PBC killed one of his heavy destroyers with perfectly rolled indirect fire and wounded the other. My army shuffled towards midboard. He returned by taking 10 wounds off my PBC with his other heavy destroyer and stalker, but that's about it.
Turn two my PBC finished the other destroyer, even though it was hitting on 5's.
From there he tried to slow me down but I just ground him down. His destroyer lord and skorpekh got stuck in but bounced off my deathshroud, and we're murdered by the prince and Lord. I managed to tag his warriors almost every turn so they didn't manage to shoot much. His melee stuff largely prevented his stalker from shooting anything with any large degree of effect. I also made a largely improbable number of saves.
By game end I was 70-40 and had lost one deathshroud and my bloat drone. I had also tabled him. The tallyman was MVP netting me a full 5 extra cp which I used to full effect. Never used that model or the Daemon Prince since the new codex and they both did exactly what they were supposed to.
I think bigger boards when we hit the next PL jump will help him. In the mean time anytime we play a long edge deployment, I'm basically sitting midboard turn two and just start punching all his important stuff.
Finally played some kill team post pariah nexus and holy shit astartes are fucking bonkers now. 2 wounds and a 2cp Death Denied is a nightmare to deal with.
Took me 3 rounds to push a single vangaurd vet with a storm shield off of a point.
Rules question related to the campaign my buddy and I are running DG vs Necrons.
His lord upgraded to swing around a Voidreaper which has the rule "Each time an attack is made with this weapon, rules that ignore wounds cannot be used".
Disgustingly resilient used to be a 5+++ shrug, but is now "Each time an attack is allocated to a model in this unit, subtract 1 from the damage characteristic of that attack (to a minimum of 1)".
So does the voidreaper ignore DR? DR doesn't ignore a wound, it modifies the characteristic of the attack.
I'm stuck at work and can't get through the filters to find a good answer.

No, it does not ignore the -1D mechanic as damage and wounds are different values.
A model has and suffers wounds, a weapon deals damage.

Ok, cool. That's how I figured it worked.

Anyone with any interest in that primarch needs to give it a read. Mike Brooks isn't GW's premier writer by any means but he does a good job.
My only complaint about the novel is how quickly it was over. Easily one of the better Primarchs novels, if only because Alpharius is the main character throughout the book. I've loved the Alpha legion and their lore since I picked up a Chaos codex in 3rd edition... I was really excited to read this book and I'm really happy with the story.
Just not thinking too hard about how you use a polearm and a large shield like that together...
At least these Sacresants can make use of their ws3+ and A2, compared to the regular celestian squad.
So sister codex/release currently:
Sacresants
Paragon suit
Dogmata
Palatine
Castigator
Ork codex looks like at least:
Beast snagga cavalry
Beast snagga chariot
beast snagga boss on Squig
new kind of Doc
beast snagga boss
beast snagga warboss
Two pretty sizeable releases.
Mechanicus probably with the marshall only and after such large non marine releases I'm not expecting another like it for a bit.
Still half of the factions to go (depending how you treat the different colours of Marines) Adepta Sororitas (Sisters of Battle) Adeptus Astartes: Blood Angels Adeptus Astartes: Dark Angels Adeptus Astartes: Deathwatch Adeptus Astartes: Grey Knights Adeptus Astartes: Space Marines Adeptus Astartes: Space Wolves
Adeptus Custodes and Sisters of Silence Adeptus Mechanicus
Asuryani (Eldar)
Astra Militarum (Imperial Guard)
Chaos Daemons
Chaos Knights Drukhari (Dark Eldar)
Chaos Space Marines Heretic Astartes: Death Guard
Heretic Astartes: Thousand Sons
Genestealer Cults
Harlequins
Imperial Knights Necrons Orks
T’au
Tyranids

Grey Knights are still to go. Their codex hasn't even been announced yet.
I feel the craftworld/asuryani/eldar codex is far off because of the heroic effort to take them out of resin hell [or the ugly comments of they are a dying race so that's why they have older sculpts or the snooty comment I have heard three different times an elite army for an elite price} But I am curious if they will replace the resin stuff the drukhari have
The Harlequins is more lore than rules so I wonder if they will bundle in the ynnari or fevered dream corsairs and exodites or do a pamphlet for the ynnari
The guard really need a refresh as the Cadian sprue needs help {like female heads and a bandaged arm} But if they bring out the Mordian, steel legion, tallran, and so on so you can swap between them for even more looks would really be the neat part for them
With the Tyranids I am curious what they will bring out new for them as a flying warrior would be neat as well as doing an all flying army
Now this is a palette cleanser after the last sisters preview:
Celestian Sacresant. Armed with shields (with built in boltweapons, it looks like) and a varietey of polearms and maces.
Just not thinking too hard about how you use a polearm and a large shield like that together...

I'd imagine the difficulty of wielding a pole arm and a tower shield is somewhat mitigated by wearing power armor that boosts your strength several fold..

It’s not really a strength issue as much as a control one. You need two hands to properly wield a halberd, holding a shield and a gun in one of them is not conducive to that. If it was a spear then fine, but halberding requires chopping sweeps.

Later in the year is my understanding. Bryan from TTT, who is a play tester picked up a Nids army and hinted that he usually doesn’t buy new armies unless there is a reason.
Some folks over on the hive board have hinted back half of the year as well.

I'd honestly chop the axehead off and just convert it into a cool looking pike. Spear and shield looks a lot better than poleaxe and shield. Wonder what the other weapons (pole maces?) look like.
The model looks great, but I'm not sure how I feel about the shield and polearm concept though. For some reason it's not lining up with the gothic sister's look. Maybe it's because they're SO closely modeled on actual plate armoured knights, and tower-shield+pointy stick is more of a line infantry sort of kit. Like, for gothic plate sisters, I'd want to see them with small decorated heater-shaped storm shields and power warhammers, with an option to take some of those big two handed poleaxes. Or make it a two mini model (like Guardsmen weapon teams) with a shield bearer squire (sister in training?) protecting the celestian with big weapon. Or each model has a Cherub or two flying around them carrying shield-projectors or something.
Sisters making a shield wall just seems... I don't know, beneath them? For an army about sacrifice and martyrdom and blind devotion to divine protection, hiding behind tower shields doesn't really seem like their style.
