TIL that Task Manager lets you see how much your CPU/RAM/GPU is being utilised. I have literally only ever used task manager to shut down frozen programs before.
If loading a game uses 95% of my RAM that's probably not ideal is it?
If it's only on load, that is probably ok. Unless it's a game with a billion loading screens. If it's during gameplay, you may be bottlenecked. At 16gb RAM, games are more likely to be bottlenecking on the speed of the RAM than the amount of it though. And it depends on CPUs, I understand current gen AMD is quite sensitive to RAM speed and timings.
Most of this is in the +/- 10% FPS gain.
But if it's your favorite game choking, it could be worth an investment.
BTW on a windows machine you can press windows G and get a performance popup that gives the same stats. From which I just learned that EA launcher was somehow using 40% of my gaming GPU. WHY.
It's Cities Skylines. I only have 8GB of RAM and on loading Skylines it's using 7.6GB. Goes down to 4-5 during play. I get a lot of crashes and I don't know if it's a memory issue. Has definitely got worse with every new DLC I've got and apparently each of the DLCs add like half a gig of RAM demand.
I'm trying to save up for an almost whole system upgrade but it's so much damn money. I could drop £50 on 16GB of RAM now, but it'll be DDR3 and I will need DDR4 when I build the new computer, so if it's not going to help the problem it'll be a total waste of money.
Cities skylines will use every scrap of RAM you can give it if you have a lot of assets. Ive seen some modders using over 24gb on load.
CS’s problem is that if it doesnt have enough ram on startup to load all the custom assets it crashes, which is no fun. There are a couple mods out there that trim what CS loads on startup to help keep RAM usage down.
I don't know best game of all time, just my favorite game of all time

Best game of all time is Ogre Battle Master of Orion 2.

That's what everyone else calls "best game of all time" anyway. Either that or the game that has the broadest possible appeal, like Tetris! The pop music of games.
the only games on that list that I've put significant time into are Tetris and Microsoft Solitaire
Significant time
Tetris, MS Solitaire/Collection, Candy Crush Saga, World of Warcraft, OverWatch, WarFrame Some Time
Dungeon Fighter Online, Any time
MapleStory, Rocket League, Team Fortress 2
Why are video game award shows all infomercials trying to huff their own farts

Has anyone just made a game called "Best Video Game of All Time"? That would provide a very easy answer to the question of "What is the Best Video Game of All Time?"
There are so many vectors for "Best" that I can't really interact with that metric, but my favorite ever is Pathologic 2.
Yeah, I was thinking, "how many have I replayed multiple times?" But that's leaning heavily to older games since in my youth I had way more free time.
My list would still be pretty slanted towards older games though. Half-Life 1/2, Starcraft, Diablo 2, Max Payne 1/2, FF7, FF9, Xenogears, Ocarina, Homeworld, would be in my top 15. The only newer games would be the Mass Effect series, Dragon Age Series, Uncharted Series, and Horizon Zero Dawn. Maybe Deep Rock Galactic and an old PS1 game called 'A-Train' that I had way too many hours in.

I've never played undertale, but I guess playing a game is hardly prerequisite for complaining about it in this day and age.
Not Ocarina of Time, though. That's not even my favorite Zelda, or even my favorite 3D Zelda.
Maybe something like Hitman 3 or Total Warhammer 3 that can have all of the content of the prior two games to result in super massive games.
Incorrect, Chrono Trigger is the correct answer.

It's me, Average Joe Gamer.
My uncle recorded a playthrough of this on the amiga to a vhs tape back in the day
The science is still out on that one pal
I'm sorry but that's a game of only two weeks
what more do you need
okay, Mario World. There.
IMO, SMB3 suffers from content bloat. They wisely scaled back some aspects for World and it made for a better game.
Counterpoint imo
Smb3 has better level variety and better player physics

Yeah, I don't know if I could say any one game is the best game of all time, but Outer Wilds probably comes closest.
There is no way this ends well for Mobygames

Is Pathologic 2 more than just a remake of Pathologic?
I am still working my way through an LP of Pathologic but the guy is doing all 3 characters and it's so loooong
The only 2 for me is WoW and Counter Strike. Though it's the CS from the 90's and may be different than what is listed.
I am playing on easy because I find it funny to just gun down entire squads of covenant with a single assault rifle magazine.
Also the Library level is still the worst level in any FPS ever.
