At some point along the way, my office / gaming room got converted into my youngest daughter's bedroom, so it's kind of a mess lol. I'm literally surrounded by pink backpacks and stuffed animals, but it's honestly pretty chill. So excited to be able to work from home. Also, there's no training on my calendar for the new position until 0900. I messaged my new boss and she said I can just hang out and relax until then. And I'm salary now, so that means I'm about to legitimately get paid to vibe for 2 hours playing Destiny.
I have no clue what it is about Sparkling Ice. It makes me feel...something. But as far as I can tell there are zero meaningful ingredients in there.
Do NOT drink C4 energy drink! Shit for real sent me to the emergency room. Felt like I was having a crippling heart attack, but instead of chest pains is was like jolts of funny bone nerves were shooting down my arms and clamping around my head. My heart vitals were fine, so they passed it off as a panic attack, which I've never had.
I looked up the ingredients and it seems Niacin (B3) was the culprit. Used to treat high blood pressure, it causes issues with low pressure like mine. Also causes "flushing" once you reach 30mg in one dose...the exact amount that is in every can.
Holy fuck though scariest moment of my life. I was on the floor with 911 dialed in, too afraid to stand up to go out the door because I thought it would set off another jolt of pain. Was only able to leave after jamming my entire arm into a snow mound to stop the burning "funny bone" sensations.
Valeera is good answer - master a bunch of tricks to beat up qm players so long as there is 0 front line or cc available to interact with you.
Nova does have lots of high skill tricks that are impactful - they just all involve use of Holo decoy - using decoy to block various skill shots for yourself and teammates; using decoy when garrosh is trying to throw a teammate; tower shots; things like that - the tricky part of her kit is not hitting Qs.
KTZ is up there on the list - you can get really good at his combos - to really just be as good as other mages that don't need to farm stacks.
Fenix you can get super tricky with W swapping and stutter stepping - to again put out as much dps as other heroes.
Yeah there's a lot of unnecessary feeling tricks to Fenix, but I will say he at least offers very good early laning poke and sustain that allows him to bully.
What does everyone think of Tracer's difficulty curve vs payoff?

She's really good if you're really good at her imo
Fenix isn't very hard to begin with and is decent anyways
I do get flack from playing her sometimes, simply because her raw stat numbers don't always reflect the value that you're adding. She can secure a lot of kills that otherwise would have escaped yet your raw damage isn't going to show that.
Which is just like the reactions you'll get playing her in Overwatch!
I swear, 90% of the toxicity in both games could be eliminated if they just hid everyone's match stats until the end.

I mean I played with one of the best KTZ players for a long while, good KTZ is a nightmare to deal with
In coordinated play, valeera is a p good choice for a shitty hero to master
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Can soak easily, can solo merc the fastest of any hero. Has an escape, an engage, a displacement, and AOE stun ult that's ranged, a lot of self healing, and uses ZERO mana.
Yeah hogger is way way better than sonya outside of some specific comps where you need more burst, a lot less macro.
Sonya excels in an environment that doesn't really exist competitively: low-cc. When you can just get in there with Wrath and WW 'em down. She's one of my favorite bruisers, but Hogs is just way less comp dependent.
I do like her for a counter pick against some other offlanes. She can out-sustain Thrall and doesn't have mana problems like Blaze can. I also like her better than Dehaka on some maps. It's just that offlane isn't a competitive enough role where you can't pick who you really want in most drafts.
Can be used offensively
Defensively
Self cleanse
The potential to get you really REALLY far away
Used as an infinite 'death zone' in key objectives
The fastest ability to get a merc
Uses no mana
Benefits from CDR
Can be talented to lower enemy damage
Can be talented to slow enemies (I think?)
Can be talented into a point-and-click aoe or single target focus damage
Who is the trickiest hero to play, yet offers the least when you finally do learn them well?
Raynor isn't tricky at all other than learning positioning since he doesn't have a real escape until 20 if you talent the cleanse.
But he's also a hero that after you spend a lot of time mastering, he feels underwhelming vs other ranged aaers.
Probius is another hero that after you spend a lot of time learning, his weaknesses become just too obvious.
Lastly, Mediv can be god tier with a coordinated team. Otherwise he can still be decent, but feels handicapped if your allies aren't on the same page.

"Doesn't pay off" really depends on the context. If you're talking high-level SL/competitive play then heroes like KTZ and Alarak are probably up there. Otherwise, I feel like pretty much anything is viable and it really just depends on what you get stuck with in terms of team comps and maps. Like, Murky is absolute trash after people learn to kill the pufferfish, but before that he's a god, and even in QM people will often YOLO fights regardless of skill level, allowing Murky macro to win you a game.

This one also has a LAN finals, in Miami, and it sounds like travel and lodging for the winning teams is already promised.

There was a heroes LAN event in this place last year I think. It's actually like a 15m drive from my parent's home. ^^'

I thought this was basically guaranteed once they cancelled the LAN.

Valeera is decently high on that list surely?
Probius?

First of all, shame on me for solo QM queuing as Medivh.
But something amazing happened. Had a DIablo on my team who actually knew to use portals,
Plop a portal down with the exit on the enemy team? He actually knew to take the portal and W an enemy into our team!
It was just...amazing watching a QM game figure out this simple thing. We won 25-2.
Enemy teams HATE this one simple trick! Click here!
They obviously ran away in fear from the Lord of Terror and his fiery foot!
