So, I of course get error code 86420 when I try to play with a friend of mine. Yes, I've looked it up, and yes, I got Nintendo's retarded answer. Forwarding all UDP ports to my Wii is just not a plausible solution.
Are there alternate, SSE-related ways to unlock Toon Link and Jigglypuff
I'm afraid I'll end up hunting down and killing the nearest living thing if I go through classic mode with Link only to lose to Toon Link again
Yeah, but you have to beat SSE, then revisit the levels they're located. Toon Link's easy. Just go to "The Forest" and the first door you see floating in midair, enter it. Then you can challenge Toon Link. Jigglypuff's in "The Swamp" just before a large barrel firing frenzy. Midair door as well.
Also, Ganon's unlocked just before going into the last level of SSE, "The Great Maze".
Which stages do you have to play through to get Ganondorf, Toon Link, and Jigglypuff in SSE?
You get Ganondorf near the very end of the game.
As for the other two, you need to beat SSE first to be able to fight them as well as Wolf. Their locations are as follow.
Toon Link - The Forest: Very first door you encounter.
Jigglypuff - The Swap: In the water area through the first door.
Wolf - The Ruins: At the bottom of the descending platform that has huge spikes on both ends.
I just discovered that I can't pick up my SSE plus game with my custom controls, since I started it with no name (I didn't know how to enter one at the time.)

I've already beaten it and still have no Ganon. At one point it looked like I was about to get him, but then Bowser jumped out, beat the shit out of his trophy, and blasted it off into the void.

Anybody know of any alternate ways to clean the Wii's laser lens without sending it in to Nintendo? My friend's copy worked fine on my Wii but now that I got my own it won't read and I really don't want to be Wii-less for nine days.
God, I hate hate hate what they did to Ganondorf. I could swear every one of his moves has been noticeably worsened. It's so hard to see the upsides of his transition.

Since they're offering the free service I would just suck it up. At the very least fixing it yourself voids the warranty, and at the most, you void your warranty and have a broken Wii.

I've tried various ways of cleaning mine (despite Nintendo's warning not to) and they've all failed.

That strange I had a scene where Zelda and Link bring Ganon back before the final fight.
I don't care that much about his appearance, it's that he feels so wrong. It seems like even the neutral A jab comes out slower. Hey guys he kind of needed that thing.

I feel your pain.
That sucks and everything, but why would you attempt to fix a technical issue yourself when, to my knowledge anyway, there hasn't been a technical explanation of the problem other than 'it's the laser lens?'

I feel like Nintendo is actively trying to make me break something. I wouldn't have cared if my friend's disc didn't work, but it fucking worked fine yesterday. This is fucking bullshit.

Next weekend I'll have my wii back (gf borrowing for her spring break) and I'll get my friend-code up.
I hope they fix it soon
