2. I'd like someone to prove me wrong, but I think Ganondorf is just mega-screwed. I play him because he is fun but I just don't think he is very good. The new, awesome side-b doesn't really help vs. the nerfs and general changes.
Yeah, maybe I'm overreacting because I mained him--and loved the shit out of him-- in Melee, but he just seems to be crap in basically every way at this point. His Warlock Punch is much improved, but Jesus, just play Ike if you want a laggy power move.
So what's the deal with custom stages? I understand you can't select them normally while playing online, but can you select one if all parties involved have the stage?
Anyone?
They're absolutely barred, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense since you could easily transmit the stage data in less than a second.
The only reason I can think they're banned is to avoid a situation even worse than Rainbow Cruise's sluggish netplay. A bunch of randomly placed moving parts might have been a little harder to optimize for online play so I guess somebody thought it'd be a better idea to just forget about it altogether.
Well shit. That sucks.
Ah well. Moving right along, anyone feel like brawling for fifteen minutes or so?
Nice games AfroJ. You cracked me up with some of your personnal messages.
Haha, nice. I just mixed them up after our matches. I always forget what's mapped to what.
I had items turned off for the first few matches, I didn't really mean to. I learned that I can't win without some help. Hell, even with help I usually end up losing. Fun none the less.
What are everyone's item settings? I usually end up picking a random 10 and set them on medium.
I am borderline breaking my controller trying to beat insane boss battles mode.
In an entire day of trying, I've made it to the final boss twice with Lucas, only to be exploded off the screen by that bullshit rings move. I can't dodge it because I can't get enough practice dodging it and my timing with the stupid sidestepping thing is all wrong.
I can make it 8 bosses in with Charizard, but the 9th always kicks my ass before I can make it to the last boss. I have a feeling if I can get Charizard up against him, I'll win, because I can pokeball-change my way through his bullshit lolsplosion move without having to time anything, but jesus christ it's like whatever boss is ninth goes out of their way to be a dick to me.
Yeah I've gotten about 5-6 bosses in on Intense a few times now and can't seem to get any farther. I dunno if I'll ever have the patience to get through to the end.

Try using Kirby and turning into a brick when he does it. Or Snake and using Up B during it. Or Yoshi and double jumping during it. Or run and grab the edge when he does it.

Those all make you immune? As in, not go zooming off the stage?
EDIT: To the above: Kirby's side-b does crazy amounts of damage too and can hit twice if you're in the air. My brother and I went double Kirby and busted through bosses like you wouldn't believe just by bashing them in the face with our hammers. Repeatedly.
Has anyone else noticed you can angle your attacks at 45 degrees? I just noticed it messing around with liugi, just smash right forward up and he will poke NE and forward down will poke SE. try it

If that's the case, I'll give Kirby a shot.
Kirby and the ledge make you immune. Snake's Up B will still make you take damage, but you'll be immune to knockback. In Melee, Yoshi's double-jump quadrupled his weight, which made him not flinch unless he was at extremely high percentages. I don't know if they tampered with it at all, but I do know that it still somehow makes Yoshi harder to knock around.

Sonic is Sega and Snake is Konami, so uh...shit.
Phoenix isn't in Brawl, but his being Capcom has nothing to do with it.

You can also do this with some tilts.
Add me as well, I'm dying for some non 1 vs 1 games.
