So.... the NSMB song is in brawl, it came up during a classic mario stage during an event, I laughed so hard when I heard it that I fell off of my bed and failed the event. I probably shouldn't of laughed that hard at it, but man, it came out of nowhere and the lyrics fired up in my mind.
It took me a while to figure out why New Super Mario Bros. was funny
Grabbing onto a ledge gives you only a second or two of invincibility. You'd still need to time the ledge grab pretty well with the wave for it to work (and isn't there more than one wave anyway?).
I would say to learn to spot-dodge (shield, then tap down), or if it is absolutely impossible, use a character that gains invincibility or super-armor during certain moves (like the aforementioned Kirby down-b, Ike's up-b, Yoshi's second jump), but honestly, if you can time those, then a simple spot-dodge should be cake.
Plus: Kirby's down-b will break if he absorbs significant damage...if more than one wave indeed comes out, it may be trouble.
See, I can spot-dodge, it's just the timing that's killing me because I think I start a second too early and it's not like straight spot dodging, there's a small delay between them to survive it.
Spot-dodging is your best bet, so I'd recommend you get the timing down.

I agree, it's a bitch. You can also try short-hopping and air-dodging - you'd have to be more precise, but I think the air dodge is a tad faster to come out.
I thought the game was pretty forgiving about the timing of your dodge during that attack, but maybe it was just me (and it still killed me quite alot...and I haven't fought Tabuu again since I completed SSE).

That's what I'm talking about though. :P I can get to him in intense, but then after all that trouble I get my ass kicked because I don't really have the timing down and I can't practice it because it's a herculean effort to manage to get there in the first place for me. I'd just throw it on easy and get the timing down like that, but I have a feeling all the attacks move slower on easy so I don't think it'd do me any good.

I just barely got to Tabuu on boss rush and got killed because I can't dodge that goddamn red ring blast... I can dodge one or two of them, but never all three.
I have no clue how to change my router's open ports, because whatever software Linksys has for me to look at my network is gimped and doesn't let me modify the router's settings manually.
Open up IE and go to your router's IP address (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.2.1) and try from there. If it asks for a username and password, it's usually admin with no password, or admin is also the password. If that doesn't work, google the model number of your router.
Make sure you use IE too, my router doesn't accept changes from Firefox because of some weird issue.

Try http://ip_here, so that IE recognizes it as an actual URL and not a search.

Apparently remote mines turn into the butterfly C4 from Snake Eater when planted on ZS Samus.
Ack. After doing them all on normal I decided to work backwards on them on hard.
Guess I have better things to do now as far as unlocking stuff...
