    Okay, so i'm nominally still on board. My teeth aren't getting worse right now, so i should be able to survive until september to get them taken out.

    That said, i'm not actually going to the Pre-PAX dinner either.
    I'll be fighting through the horrible seattle traffic to drop my car off at home, eat some form of dinner, and then bus back to shorty's for drunken extravaganzas

    @CleverClothe:

    Aye, sorry about that. =( Though I guess... well... okay, so deadlines are a hard thing for me to make. PM me your information and I can add you... just make sure you're more timely about showing up for the tour than you are for meeting the registration deadline, we can't wait for anyone if we're going to hit all the spots ;)=)

    @Ashridah:

    Ah, no dice on going to the dinner? =( It might actually be easier from what it sounds like for you to come down to dinner than to fight traffic... because the Pre-PAX Dinner people are all heading over to the drunken extravaganza as well... if that helps =) I understand if you can't make it there, but if you happen to change your mind it'll be fun! =) Either way, I appreciate your driving help =)

    I wasn't really intending to go to begin with, but even if I had the chance now, I wouldn't be able to enjoy it anyway. I'm not a big fan of watching other people eat. :)

    The driver/passenger situation:
    Drivers:

    * Risia - Thursday (Until Pre-PAX Dinner), with 1 other, 2 free seats
    * Ashridah - Wednesday, Thursday (Until Pre-PAX Dinner), 3 free seats
    * eye-shuh - Wednesday, Thursday, 3 free seats
    * Queen Brewer - Wednesday, Thursday, 3 free seats

    DAY 1 Available Seats: 9
    DAY 2 Available Seats: 11 (Until Dinner, then 8)

    Drivees:

    * Blade Fusion - Wednesday, Thursday
    * Fishman - Wednesday, Thursday
    * jBusy - Wednesday, Thursday
    * LewieP - Wednesday, Thursday
    * LewiePs Mummy - Wednesday, Thursday
    * Mentok1982 - Wednesday (Meeting us @ Aquarium), Thursday
    * MetaverseNomad - Wednesday, Thursday
    * s7arbuck - Wednesday, Thursday, with 1 other
    * Snickers - Wednesday, Thursday
    * vthornheart - Wednesday (Meeting us @ Aquarium), Thursday
    * Hypatia - Thursday (Meeting us @ CCST), with 1 other
    * PikaPuff - Thursday

    DAY 1 Passengers: 9 until aquarium (perfect!) 11 after (2 seats short)
    DAY 2 Passengers: 12 until CCST (1 seat short) 14 after (3 seats short, 6 seats short @ dinner)

    So it seems about halfway through Day 1 we're going to be 2 seats short, and during Day 2 we're going to be between 1 and 6 seats short.

    Hmm.

    So we've got a decision to make. LPM, if you wish you can take the car rental opportunity, it sounds like it would definitely help (especially with Day 2, but also with Day 1 after Mentok and I get there... we happen to both be arriving mid-day =) ).

    If you can't, I can try to rent a van or what-have-you as I'm coming into the airport. Let me know what you think of the idea!

    Also, alternatively if anyone who's a passenger already has a car and can be a driver, that'd be much appreciated!

    I don't NEED a ride from the Aquarium to Gameworks on Wednesday. The walk will only take me like 20
    minutes and it will not kill me. Someone else with sturdy walking legs could choose to walk with me.

    Ah, your quote just made me realize: I'm meeting up with everyone at the Pacific Science Center, not at the Aquarium!

    I was thinking "Well, Gameworks isn't until the end of the day, what about all the events in-between?" Then I realized that I had mixed up the Aquarium and Science Center in my head. =) So yeah, I wouldn't mind walking if it was just to Gameworks, but in my case... I have to change the notes above, but I'll be meeting up earlier.

    But indeed, it would be easy enough to walk over to Gameworks =)

    I'm happy to rent a car, or I'm happy to taxi to local places - i can't walk far without getting overtired, then i can't do anything, so I have to pace myself carefully. Driving will be fine, can you let me know before tuesday (cos that's when we fly out) and I'll sort it.

    But on Thursday, I actually do have another seat belt, it's just that it would be a really really tight fit for people. However, if we need to squish then pick small people for my back seat and I can take 4.

    So, I've checked prices, I'm looking at either:
    Hertz Toyota Sienna for £82.82, seats 7
    or netflights.com, a Chevy ventura for £84.00, seats 7

    Not much in it, but I score airmiles with Hertz.

    I'm going to wait til tomorrow, in case i hear from S7arbucks, cos he had a cheap deal going on. If i don't hear, I'll book the Toyota.

    What?? This £ is a British Pound symbol! Double it, and you've roughly got it in $ (least til last weekD:)

    The price is for 2 days, including CDW and stuff.

    I though (maybe) we should go see hamlet 2 at the Neptune? It is slot more tourist then pacific place?

    And they have a showing at 940 it is one simple bus ride or a VERY simple drive

    But it is not up to me, however it would be like 3 hours at gameworks instead of like 2 (not enough) or 4 (too much)

    Just my thoughts and you should update the thing vt, me I am not coming with a guest. However I do have an iPhone 3g so if my driver doesn't know Seattle I can be a big help

    Well, there's plenty of parking downtown. The question is whether or not any of those parking spots will be open. Seattle is notorious for not having parking spots available. I'm pretty sure the mayor just bought a bunch of cars and keeps them permanently parked downtown to annoy people.

    Anyway, we should be able to find spaces close to the convention center without impeding the super trip folks. Especially if we're going to be down there early-ish.

    So, I'm hiring the car from Hertz, at the airport, to pick it up on Tuesday. The only down side is I'll have to return it on Thursday before the pre-PAX dinner, otherwise I'd have to pay for another day's rental. So, my plan is to drop peeps off at the dinner, then whizz off to SeaTac, so I can bus it back in time for the dinner (unless any of the other drivers feels like following me to the airport to save me catching the bus back!).

    I've tried booking the Boeing tickets for me and Lewie, but it doesn't like my credit card, and keeps spitting it back at me. i guess we'll have to risk just turning up with everyone, as the phone line closes before we arrive on Tuesday.

    Also, VT, what time are we meeting up on Weds? and is it still at PAX? How busy will the traffic be in the morning? should we leave at 8:00 am, to make sure we get there on time?

    Oooo, can you tell I'm excited?????We fly out in 3 days!!!!!!!!!!In fact, we'll be mid-Atlantic in 3 days!!!!!!!!!

    LPM, did you get that discount info from s7arbuck? You definitely shouldn't have to pay that much money for a rental. =( =(

    The official meeting time for the MMT on Wednesday and Thursday is no later than... AH! I didn't build that into the schedule! I'm dumb!

    Everyone who's coming to the Boeing Tour should meet at the WSCTC Bus Parking Lot no later than 8:15am.

    You'll need that much time, just in case, to actually GET to the Boeing Tour location! I totally forgot about that bit of extremely important organizational detail. =(

    I'm going to go post that on the OP now, and send a PM to everyone on the tour who's going to be there so that they know.

    I'm also currently in the process of making a "phone contact list" to give to all of the drivers, and a list of who's going to which events for everyone to have. I'm going to PM these lists to the drivers so they have them as soon as it's done!

    I personally won't be there (I'll be flying into Seattle while you guys are at Boeing), but I'll meet you at the Seattle Center.

    I did get the discount info, but I need to be there in person, as its a family thing - I can't use it over t'interweb, and the car rental place is closed by the time we arrive in downtown. LP's daddy says its OK, as well (he manages our money, I just spend it!!)
    I don't mind really - it will save me the cost of me and Lewie getting to the hotel from the airport, and make it easier to transfer our luggage from our first hotel to the second, and street parking is free overnight.

    True... and car rental companies insure their cars to no end, so if someone messes with it on the street, they'll have it covered.

    Thank you so much for doing this! That's a lot of dough. =( You rock!
