i'm only doing school reading right now, but so far it's
Plato's Republic, and soon Machiavelli
America, Russia and the Cold War - dry, but informative as fuck
Mad in America - a history of psychopathological treatment in America - interesting as shit
seriously it is well-written and kinda disturbing when you find out how really, really into eugenics America was in the early 1900's
My aunt read those twilight books
We have one of them around here
I want to read it just so I can hate it with a fiery passion that rivals the intensity of the sun
Because I had read the back
And it sounded like the kind of thing I would hate
And listening to you people it seems like something I would hate
Christ you have the brains of a fucking grapefruit
I found the Night Watch series by Lukyanenko to be pretty enjoyable, as long as you approached it as pulp literature. It wasn't anything earth-shattering but it was entertaining enough that I'm looking forward to the last of the quadrilogy.
it makes me really happy that Pride & Prejudice is #1 on that list
I had to read it for high school English and couldn't fucking stand it, though so many of my female friends just love it and are all over Mr. Darcy's dick for some reason
Jesus, Wiggin. I would have thought that by now, you'd have learned that when you get defensive, all flailing about madly, trying to justify whatever shit has dribbled out of your mouth, you become markedly less intelligent. Apparently, you haven't learned that at all.
You ought to, though. You don't exactly have a surfeit of brains in the first place; playing fast-and-loose with what you do have is profoundly ill-advised.

I didn't think I was being defensive
I didn't think I had said anything that wrong anyway
But seriously do you have something constructive to say or are you just going to say "ur dum" in many more words
I mean I made an observation
And someone went up my ass faster than that guy that the escort service placed me with last night
But no this is all on me right
I mean I made an observation And someone went up my ass faster than that guy that the escort service placed me with last night

Dude you went up my ass because I made an observation about the first time I saw the book
Or heard anything about it other than "it exists"
So I mean yeah I'm going to tell you to fuck yourself
I didn't think I was being defensive
I didn't think I had said anything that wrong anyway
But seriously do you have something constructive to say or are you just going to say "ur dum" in many more words
Yes, Wiggin. I know from repeated demonstration that you struggle with reading comprehension, so I figured you'd need to read and reread a few times, before the "something constructive" I had to say actually percolated sufficiently. Just in case, though, here it is, in caps, so that even you can't miss it:
YOU ONLY LOOK DUMBER WHEN YOU GET RILED WHILE "DEFENDING" YOURSELF
DON'T DO THAT
UNLESS YOUR GOAL IS TO LOOK DUMBER
IN WHICH CASE CARRY ON
I didn't think I was being defensive

Ok so to clarify you're still being fancy about calling me an idiot

Since using simple words (only one had more than two syllables!) in plain speech is apparently "fancy" for someone of your caliber, I suppose that yes, yes I am still being "fancy".
But mainly, I'm not calling you an idiot: I'm just hoping you'll learn to stop the sad, pathetic flailing. At least in time. It's embarrassing to watch, and I really do root for you to get past it...although every passing day seems to speak to how futile that hope is.
was it on here that someone was talking about he book kavalier and clay
because i saw it and almost picked it up because someone told me it was good but i can't remember if i read that here or not
I've seen it talked about here a couple of times. It's worth reading, but don't be surprised if, like me, halfway through the book you realize nothing's happened yet.

I broke up with Harold Bloom for less than that.

Plato's Republic, and soon Machiavelli

Just that.
Strange
That sounds suspiciously like my line of thought when I read the back of the book
Which was the first I had heard of it
Fuck yourself
so this:
was your informed opinion
christ you're a douche
And it sounded like the kind of thing I would hate
And listening to you people it seems like something I would hate
Christ you have the brains of a fucking grapefruit
The Last Watch won't be published in English until the end of November.
Ah
I only read Night Watch but it was good
Gave me something to read for a shift
I had to read it for high school English and couldn't fucking stand it, though so many of my female friends just love it and are all over Mr. Darcy's dick for some reason
man
that is just plain wrong
You ought to, though. You don't exactly have a surfeit of brains in the first place; playing fast-and-loose with what you do have is profoundly ill-advised.

And someone went up my ass faster than that guy that the escort service placed me with last night
But no this is all on me right
he just talks in circles and says "fuck yourself" a lot
what the fuck is wrong with you
oh yes, everything, i forgot
Or heard anything about it other than "it exists"
So I mean yeah I'm going to tell you to fuck yourself
YOU ONLY LOOK DUMBER WHEN YOU GET RILED WHILE "DEFENDING" YOURSELF

Are you being ironic?

then you got all defensive when I called you on it
and now you're doing this
because i saw it and almost picked it up because someone told me it was good but i can't remember if i read that here or not
It's a trip, I'll tell you that
I enjoyed it though

You have to admit
You have called me an idiot before, the idea was not totally incomprehensible
I've seen it talked about here a couple of times. It's worth reading, but don't be surprised if, like me, halfway through the book you realize nothing's happened yet.
i'm 'onna git a tracter, plow some land.
And you have to admit, "I PVP IRL, bitch!" was pretty dumb.
