The whole discussion about the Doctor crossing his own timeline, etc, especially in the last thread, made me go back and watch the 1st episode of the season, for probably the 10th time, honestly. And I think I agree with those who speculate that he came back to young Amy, and that is probably the conversation he is speaking of in the infamous no-jacket/jacket scene. When the young girl looks up, with the sound of the TARDIS, it just doesn't feel like its a dream, it feels more like a memory.
at the end of the episode when Rory said their destination was Amy's choice, it's metaphorical of him accepting that he has realised that his idea of their ideal future is somewhat different to hers, but that he is happy to change his plans to make Amy happy. Coupled with her newfound understanding of her own feelings towards Rory, I think their relationship will be on much stronger ground from now on.
That leads me to suspect that the crisis in the finale isn't so much about the wedding at all.

Six episodes in and poor Martha hasn't distinguished herself yet
The fact that Donna wasn't in love with the Doctor was a nice change of pace. I recently re-watched Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead and it reminded me how good she could be.
Just caught the latest episode. I really enjoyed it. The writing was less all over the place, in that it wasn't overly trying like one or two of the other episodes.
In other news - this episode was great, right back on form after the so-so Venice one. Really looking forward to seeing what they do with this new and rather interesting antagonist...
This latest episode pretty much started the ball rolling on:
The Valeyard, didn't it?
Supposedly he was "cultivated" from somewhere between the Doctor's 11th and 12th regenerations and was an embodiment of all the Doctor's malevolence and hatred. The "Dream Lord" is pretty much proto-valeyard. I wonder if this means we'll be seeing him sometime during Moffat's run.
I always though he was a cool character.

I'm afraid to click that spoiler. I'm not sure I want to know. I'll just keep trying to fuck everything. -- trentsteel

The only problem with The Valeyard is that he never really made sense.
They're just like, 'yeah he was created between the 12th and final regenerations.

If you're like me by the time you get to Donna you'll have forgotten all about Rose
or, you'll be trying to, but
"Must be one hell of a scary thread in your forum."
That leads me to suspect that the crisis in the finale isn't so much about the wedding at all.
daddy you lied to me
Donna was better than both of them, though
They could have totally pulled it off as a slight wink to old fans, while introducing a really fucking cool villain.
martha is hotter than rose, but less interesting
it went downhill from there but let's see about this crashing into the sun business
i just finished the new new york episode

I read a novelization of his serial when I was 8 or 9 and it freaked me the hell out.
He was kind of a malicious version of Q from Star Trek.
But Donna was the best, and also had the biggest...uh....Daleks.
might go watch the dreamlord ep online
can someone plz tell me what the whisperings towards the end of this seasons trailer are??
Billie Piper was pretty hot too though.
Satans..... hints.....
As soon as he said
I knew it either had to be The Master or something else (The Valeyard).
