i have determined tryndamere is my favorite. I don't always do well with him, but i love him, and occasionally I start raping entire teams, over and over and over.
All that Shen advice a few pages back was incredible. Changing Ignite+Ghost to Ignite+Teleport was crazy. A few times I had half their team chase me through their jungle while I juked through the bushes, then showed up on the other side of the map helping to obliterate a tower or save a team mate. Just a few hundred more IP and I can add him to my stable.

Try out Ghost+Teleport. Ghost lets you taunt through the entire enemy team to save a teammate, then pop Ghost and run out the backside while they stupidly chase you since they think you've cut yourself off.

for masteries I guess you'd basically get ability power, crit chance, attack speed, armor pen, and magic pen in the offense tree and then go up the support tree
for skills I like to start with PAC, then Stacked Deck, then three points in Wild Cards, and then max PAC
Last I checked there is some guy called RickoniX or something, and all he did was leave every game. He had negative elo. He was doing this for months, and for all I know he's still not banned.

ELO only goes down to 400, but at that level it took several hours for him to actually get into a match if he wasn't duo queueing.

My favorite way of playing TF is Sheen -> Boots -> Rylai's/Sorc or Merc Treads -> Lichbane -> Voidstaff/Zhonya's. Sometimes get a Deathfire's Grasp.
Gold Card into Wild Cards does a ton of burst damage until late game and you can just Gate into combo to set up ganks for other lanes. Team Fights consists of spamming Wild Cards into crowds until everyone is committed then running in and Gold Card'ing a squishy. You can either Gate during a team fight to CC a squishy ASAP or save it to chase after winning fights.
First point into W and then prioritize R > Q > W > E.

Last I checked they removed that cap. Hell, they removed it so throughly that iirc rickonix is now at negative elo.
AP TF is very meh in my opinion. His best role is not actually ganking (although he's good at it) but pushing. He can be the best backdoor champion in the game in the right hands. AP TF is not nearly as good at pushing as AD/AS or at least hybrid TF.

Just had a pretty sweet game with Sona using Spectrums ridiculously cool build. By the end I think I had 365 attack damage, was criting for over 900 and I ended with a score of 8-2-32.

lich bane that early sounds kinda..bad...
wouldn't a rageblade be good to get before the lich bane so that the lich bane is actually an improvement off of Sheen?

I liken AP TF to AP Yi, it's an somewhat effective comedy build.
The thing is, if you think of TF as a pure midgame assassin/ganker, yes, AP can work for that and that's probably the easiest way to play him. However, there are better champions out there in the same role. For instance, Pantheon. Pantheon crushes TF's early game, and his midgame is still very strong with similar mobility due to man drop.
Where TF shines is that
a) He can actually carry for a team late game as AD, although it requires impeccable positioning and fantastic micromanagement of PaC
b) As I said before, he's the best backdoor champ in the game. This requires being built as AD as well.
If you're just playing him as a ganker you're really sapping him of what sets him apart from other champions and you're not going to be the best champion for that role.

oh my god.
talk about a fun character.
Amazing.
By the way how do you get to 70 leaves and still have an account. I just don't get it. At least it was the other team getting fucked this time.
Rak you best play him for more than 2 games like you do with every new character.
Then we can wins games.
i personally know of a guy who has hundreds of leaves and hasn't gotten anything done to him
as long as you don't care about your elo leaves really don't hurt you too much
Still let them play Custom Games but that's all.
then I promptly did so
then a nashor's tooth
then a rageblade

The domination depends on how hard the champ is to play. Someone like LeBlanc?
Bad news bears.
On the plus side, we won. I think it's because I had the Zatanna skin and in inspired my team to play better.
