I guess I'll stick this in here:

Walmart will be having a pretty great deal on both the PS3 and Wii tomorrow night. You get a $100 GC when buying the 160GB PS3 and a $75 GC when buying the Wii bundle (new red one included according to the picture). The deals start at 9pm and go through Sunday.

    Link

I'll be heading there tomorrow night with my recently purchased PS3 back in the box and my receipt to get my gift card on.

To be honest you probably don't even need to bring in the PS3 itself. Just the receipt should be fine I would imagine.

Edit: Had some spare frames lying around so I decided to hang up some of the nicer recent Nintendo Power issues.

Batman Vol 1 + 2 through the mail.

My friend bought me Watchmen on Blu Ray cause he is awesome.

V for Vendetta started the spending freeze so it beat the buzzer.

Golden Sun I bought just before the freeze.

All in all, this is a wonderful collection of things.

Yeah they are really crazy but me and Batman connect.

Plus I did my research and it was so hard to find these it was nuts.

I had two Amazon vendors cancel on me in the process and I have never had that happen before in almost 3 years of using Amazon.

Except it got a ton of bad reviews, not just one.

And it had some very, very real problems, indicative of it being someone's first attempt at a video game (even though this was obviously not the case for Grin)

Even if you like it (for whatever reason I can't conceive), you can't deny that.

The freebie DVD's I ordered from Telltale back in October while I was pre-ordering BTTF finally arrived after the Sam & Max Season 3 DVD was on backorder for so long. I ended up grabbing the special edition of TOMI, though I'm regretting it as the slipcover, despite the fancy artwork, is really cheaply made and has some particularly ugly cutout crap on the back. As I recall, I had some sort of coupon at the time.

Same. It felt like it was exactly what it needed to be: a fun-as-balls, linear, skill-based platformer with a batshit crazy story about idiotic superweapons, and some standard third-person shooting thrown in.

It was precisely a 3D HD update of the classic.
Bionic Commando was one of the most underrated games of 2009.

Totally agree. The general consensus of its badness actually made me feel a bit sheepish when I bought it. Like, "I don't want anyone to see me buying this terrible game." But no - it's really, really fun, and I am disa-ma-pointed that we won't be getting a sequel.

Nope. Just looked over this list to confirm my opinion, and yeah, it pretty much stands.
I also enjoyed Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but I don't have much opportunity for multiplayer so it's appeal was limited...same goes for Mario Kart Wii.

Left 4 Dead was fun, but I didn't play that in 2008, and I'm not very good at muliplayer shooters so I always feel like I'm holding the rest of the team back when I play those kinds of games, adds to the stress.

So out of my excitement for True Grit, I decided last week to order every Coen Bros. film I didn't already own.

The first batch came in today:

    IMG_0101.jpg

    The Hudsucker Proxy
    The Man Who Wasn't There
    Intolerable Cruelty
    Burn After Reading
    The Ladykillers

I haven't seen three of these yet, so that'll be a treat

When the rest come in I am going to do a group shot of all the Coen Bros. films :D
