Would You Rather -- A Party Game for the Party Masses

guys, gals

a lot of people want a lot of things out of life

some people wanna be the richest sos they can provide for their family

or just because they want their headstone to be a giant diamond flipping "the bird"

some people want notice in their field
or in the public realm

prestige, the honor of accomplishments and accolades

or just to be a badass rockstar and to feel loved by millions

some folks want to be the meanest or the toughest

or the sweetest

to be remembered for helping others

some people just want to do what makes them happy, and that's all they could ask for

the comfort and security to pursue what brings them pleasure and contentment

some folks want all the knowledge, some folks want all the spades

what do you want, what do you see in others?

what dances with sugarplums in your dreams, what don't you get about another wight's desires?

regale me

I'm always curious about what others pursue--folks of other minds and other cultures. What a person values says a lot about how they see the world, and it's interesting to try to step behind another's eyes.

for instance:

something that has always intrigued me has been the notion of a "number." The sex kind. It's sorta implied that everyone remembers their number and that it is somehow meaningful, but it seems so arbitrary--a dude can tell you he's been with 40 people, but what if those people were babies? Or blackout drunk? What if he slept with each of them once and never saw any of them again? I know that a high number is supposed to be satisfying because it is linked to desirability and attraction, and there isn't really another way to quantify that sort of thing, but it is such a funny thing to me. I also think it's interesting because it isn't something that is understood to just always be better the higher it is--sleeping with zero people is considered to be Not Ideal, but so is sleeping with a thousand (maybe not for some). Some people can't imagine sleeping with more than one person--some people can't understand how you sleep with less than 20.

see, this is interesting to me, because I don't understand it at all

I'd be curious for you to explain it a bit

why do you want to stay alive as long as possible

are there any conditions, or do you just want to be around on this planet for as long as you can, period

does it have to do with leaving a mark or just being around to see what goes down

I guess it would be nice for someone to say that I'm a somewhat respectable poster.

Not my life's goal, but that would be pretty cool.

EDIT: As far as life goals go, as long as I'm getting by and I'm happy, I'm set.

That's not the peak expectation, but it would be enough for me.

Well, I like living and breathing and eating. But my definition of leaving a mark is just affecting other people I care about, so I've done that. I'd like to continue doing that.

Alright, serious answer is I want to be happy but also strive for a little more in life.

I'd like to live as long as possible too.

Main reason is because I enjoy life and foresee that continuing. On top of that, I find technology to be amazing and I want to see what kind of whacky shit people are coming out with 80 years from now.

maybe the desire to do something like what Happenstance said

move to the woods with someone you love, spend your days reading and thinking and just appreciating the world to the utmost of your abilities

"Great" would be setting the bar unrealistically high, but I think I have it in me to write the sort of show that people could really get into and fanboy-out over. The kinda show that makes a certain sort of person really fucking obnoxious because they won't stop talking about it.

I want to write a show that's good enough to draw fans passionate enough to ship it.
