I would very much like to be on the badge as well if there's still room. Can't believe I missed this thread 'til now.

I wouldn't mind getting on the badge for East '12. Give me another reason to go to "6th floor" in Boston since I didn't make it up there as often as I thought at Prime.
This is my first PAX. I'd love to get me one of these.

Love the WWII theme on the back! If I am able to snag one of these, I am for sure going to be displaying it on my desk at work. Make all the other geeks jealous. ;-)

Late to the party as always, but not too late. <fist pump> LOVE the new design.
This will be my first PAX and I'm so excited. Currently working on getting a friend or two to come with me, but hoping I can just make friends there if I end up coming alone. And these badges look sweet. Would definitely like to get one for myself!

It's so hard to NOT make friends at PAX! You'll have a great time!

I had intended to get one of these both of the past two years, and was all super-ready to last year, but the pokecrawl destroyed me and I got to BYOC too late and forgot about it
Give the Enforcers handing out the badge a larger copy of the back so that they can look to see who's name is on the back. I'm still willing to answer the questions and all, but it may make it easier for those who will be handing them out to find the names in the charter of PAX Forum Badge-ness.

There seems to be a confusion over how you get a badge. There are only two ways to get one; attend a Pre PAX East event that has badges distributed eg Pre PAX dinner or go to the BYOC desk during PAX East and pick one up. Having your name on the back of it does not preclude you getting one! You still have to answer a question to prove that you are a forum member. You could be anyone really and the questions are such that only a forum member would know the answers.
Remember that these badges exist for us forum members so that we can recognise each other during PAX. They are twice as big as the official badge deliberately so that it stands out!
Kropotkin, I think he's referring to the fact that some [E]s handing them out do not ask questionis, they just look at the back and find your name. I know this is not the "approved process", but that's what happens sometimes anyhow. I'm with you that we shouldn't encourage said deviation

Thanks for this information! I've been a forum member for several years now, but I'm self aware enough to know that I'm still a complete noob. Will the questions require you to have ventured into the dark recesses of the Penny Arcade forums? I have a feeling even asking this question is probably against the spirit of the rules but I figured I'd try anyway.
That looks stunning and I enjoy the theme of the back, just like everyone mentioned, could use a bit more clarity. Other than that, cannot wait to grab me one of those!!!

The images on here are not to scale! Believe me when I say these badges are the size of an outstretched hand. A very large hand at that! Put it this way, if this was good enough for secret orders given during WWII, it's good enough for PAX!

Are they the same size as the ones from last year? My friend had one and it was really neat and wanted to see if I could snag one of my own. And yes, definitely good enough for PAX and then some! So much pretty!!! Ah... I think I'm just excited for PAX in general haha

Yes they are the same size. To be precise they are ISO A6.
I saw a few of these around at my first PAX East last year, but I didn't actually join the forums till just before PAX. I would love to get one of these for this year! Planning on going to both the pre-PAX dinner and the MMT.

When I get my hands on the badge each year, I squeal with delight when I see my name on the back.
