War of the Roses: It's kinda like Chivalry with fewer decapitations
I ate the entire cake. At one point, I remember becoming aware of the oppressive fullness building inside of me, but I kept eating out of a combination of spite and stubbornness. No one could tell me not to eat an entire cake - not my mom, not Santa, not God - no one. I would eat cake whenever I damn well pleased. It was my cake and everyone else could go fuck themselves.
A Mount & Blade with high-quality graphics is pretty much what I've been dreaming of ever since I got into Warband. Just hope they haven't completly abandoned any single player aspect of this.

Pre-purchase is up on Steam for $29.99. You get a free upgrade to the deluxe edition, beta entry, and early access. Owners of Mount & Blade franchise games also get 20% off. Not a bad deal.

I'm moderately interested in this game. I played with M&B for a bit, and while I liked the concept, I really wished it felt a little more... polished. This looks like it has some potential, but I just haven't heard much about it other than the couple of trailers posted here.
As an aside, does anyone know what that Steam preorder DLC is? It lists things on the Steam page, but I can't seem to find anywhere that explains it.
I can't believe that i haven't heard of this, being a Mount & Blade fanatic. Super excited, but it's gonna take a really long time to approach anything near what c-rpg warband is right now. I know it takes a really long time to get gear established, then get a clan, then get good. but by god, i've played this game for 400 hours. at least 300 of them in c-rpg. It is gooseing amazing.

This is absolutely brilliant and deserves to be reposted every page.
I am in the Warband single player camp. The only way I could stomach M&B multiplayer is with the Napoleon dlc which (mostly) got rid of the bullshit twitchy chambering, parrying, spin around like a maniac so your hits land a split second faster combat and just let me shoot dudes in the face. The joy for me was in building an army, kitting out my guy, and sacking castles.
I am really hoping that War of the Roses has a decent single player mode, because the combat mechanics look fun.

Good! Trying to find a balance between single player and multiplayer on every game can ruin a good thing. And we all know we want this to play online.

Arrows to the neck look beyond brutal. I love how the arrow shafts bend. The attention to detail is nothing short of amazing.
