Where is my eastern european female voice? This is the highest order of bullshit, or else I am blind/deaf.
Latina and Russian bosses were replaced by French and Southern, respectively.
...fuck.
On a less disappointing note, is there anything you miss out on by using an Inauguration Station import rather than importing from SR3? Or are we supposed to import from SR3, then download the appearance from IS? Just trying to figure out which I should fire up to fix my character.
Oh, and if anyone has used the console IS yet: Can we increment sliders fully now? I seem to remember some were locked to 5-10 point steps in SR3.
Speaking of clothing complaints, the business suit from SRTT seems to be missing from the SRIV Inauguration Station, leaving the only options the way too busy Presidential suit or a suit and overcoat combo.
On the plus side, the floppy-eared bunny slippers and female hair curlers hairstyle remain, allowing me to continue my old lady boss reign of terror.
Some of us prefer the crisp, understated lines of a classic suit.
It goes well with the giant tank and two-foot long dildo bat.
This is such a bummer. I was trying to reamke the Mob boss I was using in 3 I based off of one of my City of Heroes characters
I really hope it's in the full game and just missing from the IS.
So what's the deal with a lack of PC versions either digital or boxed anywhere other than Steam?
Am I being cynical in saying it's Deep Silver wanting to control the price by making it only purchasable on Steam instead of getting cheap codes from somewhere else?

There's a boxed PC copy on Amazon, and a digital copy on Nuuvem (Brazilian) which exchange rates over to about $33.

Boxed PC copy is listed on Amazon UK but unavailable.

Dunno, then. I can't tell you much about Nuuvem either, except that I used them to get Tomb Raider 2013 for $20 a week before release and that worked without a hitch (with the help of Google Translate).
Also looking at the last page I see I must not have refreshed the thread when asking about clothing options because it had already been answered only a few posts up.
Clothing options seem pretty much the same as in SR3, only a couple i'd ever see myself using. Tattoo options are still rather anemic as well.
Oh well, i'll deal. At least it's not worse than 3.
Just like Initiation Station before it, Inauguration Station does not contain every outfit in the game. IdolNinja mentioned earlier that all clothes from SRTT are back among other things, and that is certainly not the case, and I've been on the lookout for many costumes from SRIV trailers that definitely aren't in Inauguration Station either. Storyline unlockable costumes in particular seem to be MIA.
I think that some of these clothes are back as suits though, not as individual pieces. At least that's what the inauguration station would seem to indicate. I hope that's not the case, but it possible it is the case.
The future soldier costume, for example, used to be helmet/shirt/pants/boots. Now it seems to be suit/helmet. That's unfortunate because those were great pants and I used them with a variety of other pieces, and sometimes I snagged the boots for an outfit as well.
totally separate:
Playing through SRTT and going for 100% because why not.
God damn, the basejump challenge is fucking annoying.
huh. and there are dildo bats? cause i totally want to hit someone with a dildo bat. is that a mod thing?
edit: also, do i need to know the story for saints row 1 -3? im guessing no...
Dildo bat is Saints Row The Third. I don't think it's returning in 4. Though never fear, there will be many equally ridiculous weapons.
If you get a chance to pick up SR2 and SRTT, they are really worth playing.
But no, you do need to know the story. In my case I started with SRTT and loved it so much (so much, I'm on my 6th playthrough now) I picked up SR2 and played it for the story. And only the story, because the gameplay on PC is kind of cruddy. But it's a great story.
ive never been a pc gamer so maybe that's why i haven't heard of this game?
do i need a game controller thing to fully enjoy it or should i play it with a mouse and keyboard?
man, i feel like such a newb. hahahaha.
SRTT plays great with KBAM, SR2 had a terrible port and needs to be modded with Idolninja's mod *and* you really kind of need a controller on top of that.
I did SR2 with the mod and KBAM but it was a slog and driving anywhere sucked.

I've done it twice with KBAM, it's absolutely doable. The trick is just tapping the keys for minor course corrections and not holding them. Also make liberal use of the handbrake because that really helps with turning.

I'd get a controller for SR2 on the PC if I were ever going to do it again.

To be honest, I don't even notice anymore. Using a controller would probably throw me off at this point.
My attempt at a saucy French Boss, I may have had some historical inspiration.
I've made several male Bosses, but I can't find a top I like in the IS. I like several of the pants options-- there's different types of jeans, and only one of them look goofy! The skinny jeans are kind of cool, and I think they look good with heavy weight boots, but I can't find a top to putwith them. I want that vest with strapped on sleeves from all of the trailers, but isn't in the IS.

You know what's interesting is that despite not liking any of them in SRTT, there are several sweatshirts and t-shirts in this one that I immediately liked.
I have often wished for a barnstorming/stunt jumping locater assist built into the game. Absent that, you are stuck looking at a guide unless you want to spent a ridiculous amount of time wandering around (and I can't do that without getting distracted and starting a gang war or a police/stag war).
Incredibly late to the party, but I just finished SR3's story and am taken aback at how lazy and awful BOTH end routes are gameplay wise and how especially bad the story is for one path. I felt like they got bored or ran up against deadline there.
There's also a giant issue with combat in that they give you regenerating health in a game where you pretty much always exposed. Yeah, I know there's trick to regen your health, but it just makes shit a burden until you roid up Boss with damage immunities. It's a fun game, but only because it stays easy if you stay ahead of the difficulty curve by doing lots of side stuff to rank up. There's no challenge to the game that doesn't feel like poor or outright lazy design. Good example
Final mission prior to the Killbane choice where Luchadore and Stag trucks are literally spawning a few feet in front of you and just doing hard left turns to block as much road as possible. To be clear: I'm not even referring to the road blocks. All the Bonnie Tyler music in the world cannot save the last portion of that mission.
I'm hoping that, with the engine and city in place, they can really tighten up the gameplay because goddamn the gunplay does feel fun when it's not feeling cheesy as hell.
Whatever top my fem-boss was using in TT apparently didn't translate over to IV. It's a shame the recolor option for Decker Specialist is so bad, and non-existent for the Ultor Assassin..
Kinda tempted to throw her in the Rainbow Bright outfit though.
(And the Madame President suit overrides all ear rings and shoes )

You better not be dissing the pocketwatch.

Can't find any voices I particularly like. Annoying.
Edit: And they changed the bomber jacket to some lame looking thing.

That quilted vest with the buckle on sleeves that is the trailers isn't in there, for example.

it looks so amazingly awesome but ive never, ever heard of it, until now.
i dont even know where to begin. is this a first person shooter game or a third person action adventure or...?
It is art, don't get me wrong. But it doesn't put on airs.

Don't worry about the story. But if you're interested, Saints Row 2 & 3 are in the current Humble Bundle: https://www.humblebundle.com/
They're both awesome games and well worth playing.

15/15 basejumps, finally.
For anyone grinding that one out: Safeword helipad

I might be ultra-casual boss this time around.
