I'm bored at work and had an idea for an illustrated children's book.

All the illustrations would be really detailed, Gustave Dore-esque fare except for this little dinky idiot who's the main character.

Just a tiny little ball of a knight bopping around Camelot being overlooked and getting into weird little adventures while Arthur and the Knights of the Round are off doing very big and serious Mythology.

I've named him Sir Sigwald Shortbread.

I did a redesign of some guy’s characters because he was asking for critic, and he hated it, but I think it slaps!

It's baby's first gouache painting!! (It's a red onion) And baby's first color wheel!

Incidentally, I think maybe I got the warms and cools reversed? Hm.

    How to mine for perspective

I've never understood those kinds of studies at all

Perspective! Just wait until you hop into 3-point!
You can draw in the BLUE area without much skewing happening!

"Okay, now I need to draw something slightly rotated."

*sighs and pulls out his protractor, compass and right angle triangle*

Currently working on a 2 point exercise, and I just realized after 2 hours of trying and failing to make things proportionate, that I made my picture plane too narrow

    My brain is melting

    *solemn nod*

The brain melting means it's working.
