The characters are good. People in the main cast are usually pretty rounded, with more than one trait. Sometimes they act stupid, but sometimes they do smart things, and the plot doesn't depend on them being idiots.

working out more than ever before, and harder, and walking way more, and like.. healthy things. Taking vitamins. Drinking water.
but also just.. doing tons and tons of work, not sleeping nearly enough, not eating enough probably, pulling all nighters more than I've ever had to before
and while some of that is procrastination most of it REALLY isn't
this shit just takes FOREVER and there's a steep learning curve and I had to figure a bunch of stuff out

week before last I had a midterm, a paper due, 200 pages of reading, 60 colored frames of animation + a big fix on an animation mistake I made, all due in a 3-day period
Pft, it's not like anybody will be able to make sense of those crazy metric numbers anyways.
I have no idea what any of those (except BP) actually translate to. Which confuses the hell out of me because at least A1c is a percentage so how do you get a 49?

A1c is measured in mmol/mol, i.e. how many thousandths of 6.0225 x 1023 of molecules of the ensugard hemoglobin are in 6.0225 x 1023 molecules of my total hemoglobin count. It is equivalent to 6.6% in the old terms, above average for normal folk but generally where they want 'betics to keep it to avoid the danger of hypos.
HDL and LDL are measured in mmol/L, how many thousandths of 6.0225 x 1023 of molecules of the fatty fat fat are in a liter of my blood. They generally don't fret about this unless LDLs are greater than 4 or the combined total exceeds something like 5.5. I do need to lower this a bit, but I'm taking steps.
I'm always kinda nervous when the bigger BP number is above 130, but the doctor continually assures me that it would have to be much higher than it is to worry him, and the smaller number is excellent, especially as it was something like 90 five months ago, so my exercise regime appears to be paying dividends.
I cannot divulge any even more imperial methods of recording my weight I might use like a base 14 system named after small rocks. Like I said, SECRET desu.
