undergrad required us to live on campus for 3 years. so I shared a ~120 sf single with porp for 2 years and somehow we got along great. I think the worst was sharing a twin bed tho. I remember many nights of sleeping head to toe cuz there was just more room that way.
sarah and I shared a twin bed when I'd sleep over in undergrad
now when we have to share a queen I'm like wtf don't touch me I can't sleep
how did we do it
oh to be young again
ya we got a king last year and it's been heavenly
so much space omgggg
My parents had a king while I was growing up, which was good because sometimes it had to support them, all three kids and 2-4 animals
Now that we're older they have downgraded to a queen, thinking that they would not need so much space any more, and they are like WHAT THE FUCK WHY DID WE DO THIS KING BED FOREVER
okay right, so are going to trust cars to drive themselves
let's get to that point before we let robots kill people and decide who lives or dies themselves

this segment is really interesting about how we're letting algorithms do a lot of things which can be good, but can also often be really deterimental to the people who are on the losing end, if we're not careful
(interview with this lady who wrote a book, used to work at DE Shaw - tech hedge fund - and saw the negative affects of it)
like algorithms that go into criminal sentencing, or health care decisions, or loan approvals, etc
@credeiki check this podcast link above tho
interesting stuff, you would be interested, i shared with @richy
@Mazzyx
we're all data professional people and it's relevant and important

God I hated apartment life.
Historical building was nice looking
But no sound proofing or anything.
I lost so much sleep because you could hear every conversation, every sexy time, every car door, every band practice at the nearby university, every gunshot
ughhhh

very interesting
algorithms also tend to have strong white or male bias at the heuristic level and is a big concern
also outsourcing decisions to algorithms has the danger of freeing us from our responsibilities/consequences of decision making and is a bad thing too

Roommate was laughing her ass off and she was like "HAHAHA SHE THINKS SHE'S BEING QUIET BUT HER QUIET IS LIKE A SOLID MEDIUM, SHE SOUNDS LIKE A HENTAI HAHAHA RIGHT??" And my housemate was like "yeah lmao!!!" And they were like
Bonding
I sipped my peppermint tea and tried not to imagine how red my face was
What kind of revenge are you plotting?
I told a long story about how the scent of roommate and her tenant banging is so strong and cloying that I could tell it was them by just walking into the hall

I tried for a few years to get sarah to agree to a two twins setup
oh and also the two twins will be in different bedrooms
the dream
i was so bad at sleeping with my girlfriend at the start but i've gotten pretty good
except once she purposefully woke me up when i was asleep on my back in the middle of the night and i basically smacked her straight up in the face in my terror on waking

I am actually feeling the same way. I've learned this system in a week and I'm v knowledgable while we get trained and asking good questions.

porp's snoring has gotten quite terrible lately
only two more weeks until her sleep test and then hopefully she doesn't have sleep apnea and then they can take her tonsils out like they've needed to do for a year now

the level of bad i felt was intense even though i was not conscious when i did it! also i kind of just pushed/smacked her with my palm i think. it didn't hurt
Some women do legitimately howl during sex. Don't howlshame.
EM, that was a werewoman! I told you to touch them with silver first!
It actually hurt my ears
She was very performative and I'm sure most of it was fake or exaggerated, but that's okay. She knocked my lamp off the table and tore my shirt and I was like "jesus christ can we get a bit more repressed in here for a minute"
That said I think exaggerating your social and sexual responses to make your partner or interlocutor feel good is healthy, normal and good. Men could often stand to be more performative!

this 14 year old kid decided to be a dickwad, as 14 year olds exist to do, killing me over and over and destroying everything I create
so I shrugged, signed off, and went to bed
I logged in last night and the same 14 year old kid is there and still being a dickhead, and taunting me about signing off
so I logged off and switched to a canadian server with like 5 people
You win I guess, 14 year old kid named spaghettios.
I'd love it if you took a look at my art and my PATREON!
