I might refund Shadow Of War. It's got an incredibly weak opening, but the last straw was it refusing to let me choose where to put my first XP point, because they genuinely seem to think that if they don't walk me through precisely how to press the A button I'm going to get lost and choke to death on the controller.
The story is dumb but the gameplay is great. Maybe give it till you're done with the first area at least.
I am pro-hand-holding-tutorials tho after gaming with a lot of non-gaming folks. That stuff is actually really nice for a lot of people.
edit: assuming you were REALLY into the first game. If not, dump it
Some tutorials would be great. How to fight maybe, how to stealth kill I guess. How To Navigate A Menu needs to be optional.
Finally getting around to playing Deus Ex Mankind Divided which I feel has a really good system. In the first level, you come across tutorials that let you tackle them in a spontaneous simulation so you can't screw it up. Sure you still need to do the predicted path but it easily resets so you can get a feel for a particular mechanic. It's funny the number of times I've utterly failed at tutorials but man it can really put me off early in a game (unless it's part of the humor like the South Park games).
The only bad part is there is an achievement for actually doing all the tutorials so you can't skip them if you're a completionist.
I played a lot of exclusive em as a kid was just faster
Also dunno if it was in em but my brother cousin and I totally owned the owner of the lan and his friends and they where so mad about our 3 int heores and I only finally understood dots years later to understand why they where so mad
Maybe its also cause they bet hs and gave us free shirts but that is the saltiest ive ever made another human being solo/group effort
They coulda just been mad they got beat by like 10 year olds but
Shadow of War is awesome and it really depresses me that the response to it has been apathetic. Maybe its just my thing and I'll have to come to terms with the fact that my thing isnt everyone elses thing.
Still. I hate the feeling of absolutely loving something everyone else is lukewarm on or hating

I had the Gold Edition preordered on Bundlestars since they had a great 30% off deal. Then they dropped the lootbox bombshell and I ended up canceling.
Still really interested but I'm not going to reward bad behavior. So I'll grab it when it's ~$10.

How far are you into it?
100%ed. All achievements and done everything. Excited to play the dlc. I was in it for the stabbing, the orcs and thats it. It delivered. After about 70 hours I was still hearing new dialogue, and thats all I really wanted, cool orcs and super fun stealth stabbing where you can basically crawl-sprint and brutalise and send orcs running
Basically i wanted more of shadow of mordor and I got that. But it also had some really brilliant moments throughout.
I feel like they showed too much of the game in previews. They should've kept more of the gameplay a surprise.
Im not trying to argue anything or contest peoples experiences or opinions, just more generally kind of sad that others dont love it as much as I do.

There's been a sneaky way to get the horses "turned into" regular characters for a while now; I'd have to assume that horse is a product of a couple generations of people-Horses and was landed before it was Pope.
Sometimes the weird events trigger for the AI characters, is the other half of that.
Ok, list is updated with those games that are gone.

And super thanks to @Iolo for Sproggiwood, you're good people!
I want to like binding of issac more but the whole amount of joke useless and outright shitty items that just ruin a good thing is super not fun most of the time
I could sit with the spreadsheet open but like nah
I am playing Epistory. I wish I could tell if turning the adaptive difficulty off would make it easier or harder for me. The game is mostly not difficult, and I don't want the few places where I die to make those fights easier.

everything has a great use in some situation
Ya but sometimes a single item will ruin the previous 10 items you got and wreck entire run.

As someone who 100000%ed that game, yeah. It takes a while to learn what not to do. Much like a lot roguelikes. I got into the game from the first steam release when the item pool wasn't as ridiculous.
Im just really salty because I was about to finish a challenge but I had to kill a boss I have never seen because some item I had just teleports me out of the room if I take a heart of damage
It was a really big floor and after like 3 teleports I was like fuck this

Heat Signature is really fun for a window of time. Unfortunately it's lack of structure meant I played past this window and then felt unsatisfied/burnt out with the gameplay. Totally different from Gunpoint's short but sweet structure
friend bought me cuphead for my birthday (a couple of days ago now; been occupied)
I'm pretty happy with it.
Nice style. Overworld reminds me a lot of Commander Keen specifically. Gameplay is mostly megaman, but there's something almost viewtiful joe-esque in the parry system, and the rapid fire approach seems more like contra (or metal slug) to me.
the 'you died' screen is sublime. So frustrating in most games, not having any idea how far you were in a given level or how close you came to beating the boss.
Is there an S-rank? Because I replayed a level to try and improve my score; ended up with an A+ but I didn't hit par.
not sure I like how the super uses the same charge meter as the ex-attack, and I'm not convinced said meter is actually in a good place.
(it should be noted that I haven't actually played viewtiful joe, but it somehow came to mind anyway? so that comparison may be off-base)
