So there was a story that Paul Pogba was going to quit the French team over some racist remarks by President Macron, but he's said that isn't true.

There was a tweet here about the original story, but somehow a thing on the internet turned out to be untrue.

I was watching a Liverpool match last year, one of their European matches, and every time I left the room to get another drink, or go to the toilet to make room for drink, they would score.

    Like fucking clockwork.

I had to watch the goals afterwards, on YouTube.

I like to think I was helping them.

I did a solid season and a half like that with my local team. Then it broke one game where I was drinking pretty hard, heading to the bar and back a bunch, going to the toilet a couple of times, etc but still saw every goal in an 8-1 game.

Sadly it seems like my 'local' team will be based out of Wollongong for the next season, because of Covid-19 travel rules.

Well, they both start with a 'W', I guess.

So who are Arsenal, Dundalk's Europa League opponents?
Arsenal are also known as ‘the Gunners,’ making them one of the few clubs whose nickname doubles as a Simple English Wikipedia entry.

These industrial roots are reflected across England: Stoke City became ‘the Potters’ to reflect Staffordshire’s primary export at the time, crockery, while the Gunners reflected London’s main export: colonialism.

What? The gunners are nicknamed that because the team was founded among workers of a ammo factory.

Up to third, probably briefly, but even better than that we’re now on zero goal difference

I can’t articulate how gleeful I am that Liverpool and Everton are first and second, and Man U are 3 spots above the relegation zone.

I have no doubt that will change as the season wears on, but it’s skill lovely to see.

Also I am glad that someone other than Jimenez has scored some goals, because with Doherty and Jota gone I was worrying.

Yep, there’s that hat trick Jota occasionally pulls out of the bag in Europe. I don’t think we could have gotten much more for him than we did, but he was cheap as chips on this form.

One of the consolations of a very mediocre premier league performance was the surprisingly good form in Europe.
So, I guess that's for the chop as well.

No english sources yet, but Roma is under investiagation for falsifying Covid tests of their players.

Immobile, Strakosha, and Leiva tested positive by UEFA before Roma's CL game in Bruge.
3 days later they tested negative before their seria A game.
3 days after that they all tested positive again by UEFA befor the next CL game.
After that they were nagative again when Roma did its own tests again.

Among all this the Roma president is ranting about covid testing

I think you mean Lazio, who have a track record of being one of the worst clubs on the planet.
