I wonder what the mood is in the blizzard offices. The cinematic was actually pretty cool and well made, but the actual story contents of it are being absolutely blasted, everywhere. Nobody is happy about it
I would’ve been at least somewhat on board if th story was just being used as a parallel to the real world and how shitty preemptive warfare turns out for all involved, with a redemption arc at the end when the void shit shows up.
But noooooo they had to make Sylvanas into a fucking cartoon villain.
If it makes you feel any better it will probably consist of three quests. Two of which have you talk to an NPC 10 zones away.

I guess Saurfang is obviously going to be the warchief next expansion and Sylvanas is going to be the last raid boss. I can't believe they're actually going with Sylvanas actually is just cartoonishly evil. I suppose they're going to handwave Vol'jin making her warchief as "she was using banshee powers to manipulate the troll spirits into telling him it was a good idea and he just didn't notice." and then the dialogue she speaks when you fade back into game was like "it wasn't supposed to go this way....it was supposed to be a preemptive strike to prevent a war....but I guess we're here now"

Oh hey at least unlocking the mount on one faction unlocks both. I was thinking about grabbing a boost since there's no way I'd have an alliance character ready.
Unholy and Ret are kind of in the same boat where there can be a period of time with no buttons to push, but that can be remedied for Unholy by gaining haste. I am not sure if Ret's issue there is cooldown-based or resource-based (or both?).
I’m an idiot but from my perspective it is cool down based. Unless I’m missin something, there are three buttons to gain holy power:
-light attack that has two charges and a relatively short cooldown when those are burned, not sure how long. It provides 1 holy power
- medium attack that has a 10.5 second cooldown and gives 2 power
- Judgement, with a 12 second cooldown and gives 1 holy power
You can hold a max of five holy power charges, and both of your HP moves use three
So you can roll up, opening with judgement and he two light attacks, then use your hp move. Then medium attack to get two more charges, and at that point you probably have a light attack ready. But after that second HP move, you’re out of power and both long cooldown are still going.
For me, so far, it’s very hurky jerky.
In WoD one aspect of ret was that there were a lot of procs related to getting to use holy power moves right after you had used holy power moves at 0 cost. Like there was a 25% to get another templars and a secondary 20% to get a divine storm or something? Also hammer of wrath wasnt a talent, it was baseline. So when you used AW you could do
HoW->Crusader->HoW->templar->HoW->Crusader->HoW->Templar (Assuming 0 procs) and use every GCD with ease.
Right now unless you get blade of justice procs outta yer butt you're gonna spend some time sitting around.
