It's an important question and today we will decide once and for all who is the best Captain ever to don the uniform of a Starfleet Captain. Legendary figures seek your approval.

wjor3nye1uyb.jpg

Captain Jean Luc Picard, captain of the USS Enterprise. Diplomat, ladies man and figure of great moral authority.

y9avtz3p25ma.jpg

Captain John Sheridan. Captain of the USS Babylon 5, which fought and won a noble war against the Cylons. Has a frisbee.

oa08qpid3bn4.jpg

Captain James Hook, who led the USS Jolly Roger in its quest to kill flying children.

bmkw9p3ci2v8.jpg

Captain Jack Sparrow, the Pauper of the Surf, the Jester of Tortuga.

Captain Planet. We didn't really get this cartoon in the UK, so I dunno. He's blue.

Captain Marko Alexandrovich Ramius. Captain of the U-ESH-ESH Red October, which hash twenty sixsh nuclear misshiles onboard. Don't be a buckaroo, comrade.

I refuse this poll on the basis that the best Capt. Hook was not chosen as representation. That being Dustin Hoffmans.

Escape Velocity is a totally different game

Overhead, 2d, space only, travel between solar systems doing merc work and joining factions, sort of an early roguelike situation

Your WASD was rotation, forward thrust and rear thrust with Newtonian physics, and you had a variety of guns and missiles and rockets to use. Tried to earn credits to upgrade your ship, buy new ships, maybe even build a fleet. Super fun.

    Commercial game: Star Control 2

Captain James Hook adjudicates poor form for all of us, and his "stop me, Smee" "don't ever frighten me like that again" is the work of a genius, and I love when he's vulnerable after his hairpiece is removed

and Captain Planet tried to save us from ourselves just as if he was an angel from the adjustment bureau

But there might not be anyone anywhere I love more than Captain Marko Ramius

I'm pretty sure this guy was on Star Trek. He understood that the Prime Directive was really more just a guideline.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

I have a powerball ticket in my pocket, and I'm just riding the dopamine through the day, and I'll probably not check until Monday morning. Because I'll take the ride of endorphins all weekend, and just shit up Monday, which is already shit.

I'm not even entirely sure they did.

I think it was just association and a bunch of "shhhh you can't do those things because the bad guys do those things".

I can understand the tiki torch thing for the brief 8 hour window it happened in our history, but clothes and haircuts because some fucks wore it is silly.

I added some mods with new factions to Starsector, and now my goal is to get that capital ship that has guns that shoot out eight pink beams scattered around the target that then converge and goes to full strength and BZZZZT.

I picked a joke option because I don't like Star Trek so the real options are meaningless!

Now give me another Fire Emblem poll and I'll give you a sincere response.

Yea, even if it is just the association thing it kinda sends the same message to them though, that they can just lay claim to things like that. Seems bad!

Look at Commander Sisqo's back catalogue:

    Who else can rival that?

I mean, he has at least two albums of Celtic Classics. At least two. I mean, damn son.
