When all other dairy deserts you, the cheese stands by your side. Alone.

Hard cheeses are generally lower in lactose and are usually ok as long as you don't go crazy. Some soft cheeses have higher lactose content and will be way worse for you. Yogurt with active bacterial cultures is fine and can actually be beneficial for folks with lactose intolerance. Frozen yogurt or other varieties without active cultures, not so much.
I was at my granparents' last week, and I cooked a calamari stew for them:
The calamari, tomato, and fennel came together in a really great way

Made beef bourguignon today. Forgot to buy wine, so substituted the wine with a wine vinegar and grape juice solution stolen from a separate non-alcoholic recipe.

It's the Wife and I's anniversary tonight. I've got a tri-tip on the smoker, she's out picking some carrots for me to roast. I have some leftover homemade Mac Salad to go with it, and she stopped by the local patisserie today and we have berry pie for dessert.
hmmm.... I am trying to think up a good recipe combo to have for dinner using Country style pork ribs. The hard part is trying to think of something that isn't just blatantly unhealthy; seeing as how I have been trying to go that route.

I’m late for the vinaigrette discussion but I highly recommend finely chopped shallots in them
Not only is it delicious as an addition to the dressing the little shallot bits pickle and are tiny little explosions of flavour to pick off the sides of the bowl when you’re done everything else
Well, some home made coleslaw, obviously. How bout some rice and peas for the carbs? Then you just need some greens.

So yea, accidentally baked the cornbread at 450f instead of 350f. Woops! It did not survive this mistake. The Chili will go cornbreadless tonight. I'm making up for it though by making Blackberry Cobbler with fresh picked blackberries...at the right temperature.
I had too many grapes and I wasn’t gonna be able to eat them all so I made grape jelly and now I don’t know what to do with that
Should have frozen the fuckers
I really want to get down on since chili this fall, but the only recipe I have is my dad's, which I love but is more of a chili flavor beef and pork soup with how runny it is. I think I might try to do some stuff with the instant pot

Oh, you're living in a country where peanut butter is unobtainable?
Or just one where the production or possession of jam tarts is an imprisonable office?

But I made a mug if hot cocoa the other day and I wanted to die.
A little yogurt is fine, drinking a glass of milk is not fine.
But so far cheese is ok.

This variant uses shrimp and pigeon peas. Together with the rice it makes for a hearty concoction

Well duh, if you were from Elizabeth you'd probably drive a Holden.
They'd make toilet moonshine.

ahem it's called a thriving small batch gin industry actually
Well pardon me for not knowing you had access to juniper berries!
Lobster meat is expensive!
The recipe as written was suspect, so I winged it and it turned out amazing
The broth turned out really well, super flavorful
