RULES:
This tournament will be a more or less friendly Round Robin set-up. All stages will be on, and every item set to Medium frequency. Before March 23rd, you need to PM me with two characters. These are the only two characters that you'll be allowed to use for the duration of the tournament, in both Singles and Doubles play.

When a round begins, you'll have 24 hours to get into contact with your opponent and have your match. You'll need to take care of friend codes. You might win your match, but you'll make everyone hate you quite a bit, and odds are you'll have a much harder time finding someone here to play with in the future.

For fun of course. There is no prize here. This is meant to simply be a social activity, and a way to get to know your fellow smashers.

On a final note. This is my tournament. If you have a problem with any part of it, you are more than welcome to make your own tournament. I have my reasons for my rule-set, which you are more than welcome to inquire about. If you do see some sort of easily exploitable rule, please let me know, so I can attempt to make this tournament as fun as possible.

How:
There will be no restriction of tactics or tricks. As this is a social event, the idea is to find someone with your playstyle and preferences. As this is a 4man FFA most 1v1 "tricks" probably wont work anyway.

Upon finishing a match, I'll be trusting the players to provide me with the correct scoring. We're all adults here, and I feel should be trusted as such. Besides, if anyone finds out your cheating, you'll probably never play another tourney here anyway. :P

Yeah, that's typically the way it goes. I think if it's a team battle they just go with the 1st player, but I could be wrong.

Anyone predict IGN's review score? I'm going to guess 9.8.

Unfortunately, they're going to dock it for stupid things which I don't agree with.

For one, they've made many claims that they wish they could fight classic Nintendo enemies in SSE. Like, for example, in the sections involving Link, why not fight Redeads or other classic Zelda enemies? It's like they don't seem to understand that you aren't in the same atmosphere as the games the characters are drawn from. You're fighting an evil force which is completely unrelated, and therefore, he has his own army with his own types of enemies. Of course, they kind of forget that many boss enemies ARE brought from Nintendo universes. They just... want it ALL to be like that. Or something.

So, based on this totally esoteric gripe, they'll dock the score a bit. It bugs me, because IGN often never uses their heads when talking about this sort of stuff.

I also predict them knocking it for "not being different enough from Melee" and also they'll say really dumb things about character balance based on their own personal matches rather than anything even attempting to be an objective measurement.

The worst though was, I wanna say it was Gamepro. They had one of those "previews" (in other words, Dojo rehashes), and ended it with a list of things that they considered to be "Good," "Bad," or "Ugly."

Under the "Ugly" column they wrote "3 Kirby characters is 3 too many."
