I want a black NeGcon. I already have a standard white one, but the black ones are pretty rare. They are a tiny bit smaller.
There was also a floppy drive released by a third party manufacturer for the PS1. It allowed you to save game data to a 3.5" floppy instead of a memory card, and then transfer the saves to your PC. Sorta fell out of favor once the DexDrive was released. I'd like to get ahold of one just for kicks.
Oh guys, I saw a CDI at Goodwill recently. But the lens was broke. 10 bucks. I decided not to pick it up, because there was no games or controller. I still hold hope that Zelda CDI shows up somewhere.
The CDi has a lot of hardware problems from what I heard. You'll be lucky to find one in working condition for cheap. As for the shitty Zelda games, good luck finding Zelda's Adventure.
I don't want too many rare things.. my latest obsession is Persona 3 (original edition, the one with the artbook/CD), P3 Guide, and the P4 social-link pack.. none too rare, but I want 'em.
I also like collecting PS2 games that I find in the store I work at, trade-ins or what have you. I got Ico for like 7$ in near-mint condition.
I really wanted one of those XBAND things back when they were around in the mid 90s.
I was getting Nintendo Power regularly at the time so they always had a couple of pages devoted to the XBAND/XPLAY stats and usernames. I thought it was interesting. After just now reading the wiki on this, I'm kind of glad I never had it. $4 per HOUR? AND it was horrible service on popular games? Ouch.
MM9 press release package that looks like an NES box and game. They were available for about 5 minutes on capcom's website some random day about a week after it hit the last system it was released for. Better that than a day that actually meant something, like the day it first came out, so that normal people actually had a chance to get it right?

A lot of people's orders (including mine) went into backorder hell and nothing ever came from it.

That's the problem with things that are super limited runs. You think you got it and then nope, you were too late but the website gave you false hope. I'm sure if I had known that it was getting released at 3:17:36 p.m. on a tuesday or whenever it was, I would've been in the backorder situation as well.
Oh well, at least I still got the shirt. Red eye Heihachi-Wily is my favorite character and the shirt lets me see him all the time.
Not sure if it was rare, Nintendo isn't really 'my thing'
But when I picked up a GC bundle for £50 that came with WindWaker and a special edition 4-on-1 disc Zelda collection that had OOT, MM and the NES versions PLUS Mario Kart DD and Metroid Prime 2, I thought I got a pretty fucking great deal. (The 'rare' bit is the 4-0n-1 Zelda collection. Apparently well sought after now)
I've managed to buy a few of the things I'd been lusting after, chief among them being Rez for the Dreamcast (PAL) and the Sonic Adventure 2 birthday pack. And now I've saved up to buy something I've wanted for at least six years...

Thats rare now? Nice, I have that as well as the OOT/Master Quest bonus that come with something I don't remember.
I must be autistic or something, but I really want these Hori Controllers for n64.
Look at those analog sticks, and the awesome colors... Wait. Thats the Gamecube analog stick! CONSPIRACY!!!!!
What rare things do you want?
I have one of those. It's red. I wish I had a blue/transparent one.
Z is on the same side as R? I would have figured it would have been with L.
I wish I could see a picture of that with a hand holding it. That controller seems really small, but it probably has the same size buttons as the normal N64 controllers.
I want one of the table arcade cabinets... you know, the ones like PacMan that were built into the surface of a table instead of standing up? I don't care which game for the most part... I'd just love to have a kitchen table that is ALSO an arcade game.

I don't really know to be honest. I just remember a friend giving me hell for trading it all in for a PS2.
I don't really have a desire for any particularly rare peripherals, though I would like to get my hands on the Steel Battalion controller as I never got to try it out.
As for games, I'd like to get my SNES back, as I was a dumb kid who sold it without knowing the repercussions! I would also like to own retail copies of Suikoden 1 and 2, as they are some of my favorite games of all time.
Cherrn on

There is one Z button for each side and the face buttons are indeed the same size as a normal N64 controller's.
The controller's very very small, but comfortable but don't try playing games that require the D-pad with it because your left thumb will constantly come in uncomfortable contact with your right thumb.
The rare thing I want most of all is the original boxes for my older consoles I had when I was a kid, that my parents threw away because " They took up to much space "
I want a Neo Geo pocket. And i want Last Blade. :P
The other thing i wanted i managed to pick up, and in like brand new condition recently, which was this:
Cost me $100 though, which was actually a good deal as all the other ones i saw, some of which were in worse condition were going for $130+
Someone tried to trade in Lunar 1 + 2 in near-mint condition to a fellow coworker's store.. I think he bought it off them for like 5 bucks. SO lucky.
Daaamn thats lucky, i love it when people dont know what something is worth. Mine has everything, cloth map and all (Mines the big box limited edition one.), everything was in brand new condition. The guy i bought it from said he bought it when it first came out, and played it and beat it, then never opened it again. The box is even in mint condition and the map is still folded since he never even took it out as well as the hard cover strategy guide thinger.
Only bad thing is after buying it i immediately saw a sealed copy of Persona 2 pop up for $60 (one of the recently reprinted ones.) and now i want that too.
The second one isnt worth as much, i see it on ebay for about $60 or so, while the first one is worth twice that or more on average. The first one IS a lot better though so it isnt surprising.
I think he also got all four parts of dot.hack with all the bonus DVDs and everything from the same person.. or maybe it was just someone else later that day..

<hypocrite> I want a Virtual Boy! </hypocrite>
Last I checked, you can still get new copies for FF8 and FF9 on Amazon for like $20.
FF7 is out of print, though.
1: I love having crazy videogame stuff. 2: They had a wario ware type game on it, WAY before Wario Ware came out. Its so cool!

But yeah, 400 dollars for just that is dumb.

It's still $70. I really like Micros. I can't decide if I want to shell the cash out though. So hard.
I'd check online and see if you could get one cheaper.

I got mine last summer for $30 I believe though the Famicom edition might demand a higher price.

I have one of those in my closet.
Took it out for some 10 year old kids a few weeks ago and they thought it was the most amazing thing ever.
Then they saw my SNES in a box next to it and wanted to know what it was. Said they had never seen anything like it in person.
I felt old.
I KISS YOU!
