Hmm.. I don't really have much to say here....
I'll just link some interesting pics:

Santa Cruz PAX post:
So, it seems like the tentative plan is to hit up the Santa Cruz boardwalk on Saturday the 6th with as many forumers who care to make it. The more the merrier! If you need something arranged for transport, speak up so that we might arrange it.
Anyway, if you could make this/need transport/can't come/wish to whine, post about it in here and we'll try to finalise the details.
Attendees:
Fishman
Moriveth
Janson
IpseDixit
Qorzm
Dubh
DE?AD
Linksville
-others?-
I'll try to keep this updated with attendees and events and what have you, but I'll have to work with the 24-odd hours of travel time I'm going to have starting tomorrow.
Boring original Original Post:
So... uhhh, well, it turns out I'm getting a paid trip to the continental United States in just a few weeks. Well, actually next week. On the 3rd of June.
The details are boring (let's just say I'm totally not smuggling drugs inside any bodily orifices. Totally), but the upshot of it is I've added 5 days of holiday onto the trip, so I've got 5 days to fill with, well, I'm not sure what there is to do around there. I think there's a bridge, and some kind of wharf with seals or something, and maybe the headquarters of starfleet? Look, this all happened on extremely short notice. I've got a copy of Lonely Planet San Francisco, I'm sure I can read it on the 14 hour plane flight over.
Anyway, seeing as I'm so rarely in the same hemisphere as 99% of the people on these boards and a good number of people have, at least in the past, indicated that they would like to know if I was ever within a Wook-rape minimum safe distance from them, I thought I might give a heads up to let people know I'd be around and see if anyone had any suggestions of how I might spend this time (other than join starfleet).
I thought I might spend it, you know, seeing tourist sights (which ones? suggestions go here), hang with friends, maybe catch up with a few forum-type people, play vidjagames or something. For the far-too-nosy crowd, Moriveth has helped organise me some accommodation for the trip down by him in San Jose.
So yeah. San Francisco & San Jose.
Addendum:
Also looking forward to D&D with Dubh, DE?AD, et al. on Sunday.

And if you want to see the Golden Gate bridge, the best way is to hire a bike. My friend even said it was the best thing she'd ever done on any holiday.
Come visit Indiana
Rent a car and drive down the Pacific Coast Highway
Bar Hop in the Haight, Marina, and Mission
Cartoon Art Museum
BART over to Berkeley and take it in
Wharf
California Academy of Sciences
Wander about Golden Gate Park
He has his own personal chauffeur whilst he's here
Oh god, my legs
Dude next time I am in toronto we need to go to baaaaaaaaars
Twitch (I stream most days of the week)
Twitter (mean leftist discourse)
I've told him we need to visit the Boardwalk sometime too.
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
Man I wish I could still eat fast food
totally buying him a burger, though
Fuck yeah we do. Copious amounts of meat is good times, but there was a severe lack of beers.
Probably because I'm too young.
Not for long!
So we stopped eating fast food
Now just him talking about him being sick after eating fast food makes me sick of the sight of fast food
We haven't had a burger in a couple of months
Maybe I'm just jaded from living here...
In-n-Out is a good fast food burger and all, but it's still, you know, fast food.
is like an eternal punishment from Greek Mythology
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
Oh but real burgers are so good
i havent been there in YEARS and when i planned a trip to go i found out it was being remodeled

Oh well... how do restaurants and steak suit?
napa blows dont come here
I'm hoping Mori's dad will offer to cook delicious meat
i mean it probably can't live up to my memories of it but man i loved looking at all the fossils and the big blue whale skeleton and the aquarium and the planetarium and stuff
me and my girlfriend want to go soon. we might go for my birthday if we can swing it
it will hopefully be delicious
And the bike ride thing too, although it's been a while since I rode any real distance.
And xero has put forth so much I'm lost in it all, I'll have to look it all up.
But the bridge is actually a pretty easy, relaxing ride, with no hills (those come if you want to bike to the parks)
Oh man there may have been a lack of beers on your part, but I was doing my damndest to protect your country from the honey brown menace
