    Ultimately I think the main trouble behind an Elder Scrolls MMO would be the main trouble behind the Elder Scrolls games now. "How do we make this game not completely bland and generic?"

    I am also going to chime in and say that Morrowind is probably the best video game ever

    also that Oblivion is very much a one-step-forward two-steps-back kind of sequel

    also hope that TESV turns out good

    morrowind was awesome
    i played the shit out of morrowind

    oblivion i think i only ever closed one gate, but i did do lots of random sidequests and guild quests
    it didn't have the same feel of awesomeness as morrowind though

    i want elder scrolls v, give it to me

    I closed lots of Oblivion gates, if not just for the xp and Daedric gear and the wee enchanted demon-pearls you got.

    1. Learn a basic invisibility spell
    2. Strip naked
    3. put on the Gray Fox hood
    4. ????
    5. Larlar

    See, they tried to be pragmatic about the equipment, but it ruined the flavor. And Morrowind had some awesome flavor- I have no idea why they chose to ignore that while making Oblivion.

    Mismatching pauldrons for cosmetic effects was great.

    Spears and halbreds were good for pokey-fun.

    They really need to come back.

    The only thing I really hope Bethesda gets right in the next game are voices and dialogue. I dunno what happened to their writers, but at the least I hope they can hold off from blowing their load on one or two big names and leaving the rest of the game with five mediocre voice actors.

    Mods can fix pretty much anything else.

    they need more armor that looks different too

    Oblivion was awesome if you were a stealthy archer.

    I loved just sneaking around and firing off arrows at bandits who hadn't seen me.

    And watching them crumple to the ground.

    They've been setting up a game in the High Elf realm for, like three games now.

    All rumours and shit of odd stuff going on at the court.


    I can't believe they're still not going to resolve that with the next game.
