I will FAIL at any PC game round. PLEASE PLEASE have the 360 version of Left 4 Dead! PLEASE!

Beware the Ladykiller PC FPS round...

Or, you could get stuck with Peggle for the PC round and not have to worry about it.
I was all kinds of ready for an FPS round. But no. Peggle.

Fuck Peggle. Fuck Peggle. Fuck Peggle.

My ideal omegathon would have been something like this:

    Chance round: Yahtzee
Wii round: Cooking Mama Cook Off
    PC round: Unreal Tournament
    Rhythm round: Rock Band
    Jenga round: Jenga (lol)
Puzzle round: Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo or Tetris Attack
Final round: real life PING PONG

but, of course, we can't always get what we want :P

In any case - better start practicing! Good luck everyone!

I apparently am an Omeganaut. I still really don't believe it, but I recognized Gabe's voice and the email asking my infos looks pretty legit. Gotta get a 1200x1200 pixel headshot of me now, hrm...
I agree, every ten minutes I look up and think, Hey wait a second, I'm going to be an omeganaut.
I really hope the rythm game is Beatles rockband, because at least, I know those songs.

Well, it didn't help that I was still half asleep when I got the call, so I'm sure I didn't sound too excited when I got it. I actually almost didn't pick up the phone, because it said restricted caller and I was thinking it might be phone spam. Even though I had been reminded by friends that the Omeganauts were being selected today, I didn't realize it was the 5th. Anyway, I picked it up, and it was Gabe so I was like, "uh, okay". Thing is I'm so busy this summer, that I really haven't had much time to even think about it yet. In a couple weeks, it'll probably become more real. Right now I'm just perfecting my game face for the press photos. Figuring out my greatest gaming moment is going to take some thought as well...

Anyway, even if I get blown out of the water in the very first round of competition, I think it'll be pretty fun. Totally not what I was expecting, but hey, I love PAX, so this'll just be one more thing that will be really amazing about.

I'm having trouble believing it too.

I was half-asleep and watching an old MST3K episode when I saw a private number calling. The main reason I answered was my old editor got a job at real paper (I work at the O'Colly, Oklahoma State University's college paper) and I thought she might be calling me from her work number about some end of the summer stuff. I honestly didn't realize calls were going out.

Anyway, I was getting stuff together to send in for press credentials today, and now I kind of am the news.

    Weird.

Darn I was kinda hoping I'd get that magic phone call, only problem is that I put my home number which I never answer and I don't have my own Cell. Oh well something tells me I wouldn't have lasted long anyways :)

I can be someones cheerleader though.

I have the list of Omeganauts, when my life isn't freaking busy (i.e. when I'm at work) I'll post them. I just have the names though, so for most of you, you'll need to point yourselves out if you want your forum handle associated.

Of course, some of you (like Bob Jackass and eye-shuh), I already know who you are.

Well, I sent off my headshot and everything today for the press package. Still finding it difficult to believe I got selected out of tens of thousands of people going. I got asked by a friend just a two days ago how lucky I felt, and I replied "not really". I guess I was wrong!
