generally gi jiu-jitsu is soft. you'll be bruised and sore if you're out of shape, but if you're a reasonably fit person, you probably won't have any huge welts in the first few months of study
no-gi jiu jitsu aimed at self defense can be a little rougher, and yes i have had innumerable pulls and minor sprains
That's not exactly what I meant. It's a concept in Eastern martial arts. A hard style meets force with force, not necessarily head-on but in a way designed to be as effective and damaging as possible. Soft is about exerting minimal force in order to use your opponent's own power and momentum against them.

We provide TV and fiber to what basically amounts to a small town of really rich people who have walled themselves off from the peasantry. With that said, every one of them that I have had to provide support to has been an absolute nightmare to deal with.
One of them absolutely denied having a media closet. Which is possible, but unlikely, since we built the media closets into pretty much every house in the community. I think maybe two don't have them, and that's the architect/realtor's house and the "show" house. So she wants someone to go out there. We basically send out senior most guy out there to go into her home, point at a closet in a hallway some where, and charge her 75$ for it.
Another? Her internet is down. We can't actually get her to do basic trouble shooting. Which takes about five minutes. She'll call in, tell us "It's still broken. I don't know why you can't fix it." But before we can ask her to basically power cycle her media closet, or before we can even set up a time to have someone come out there to do it for her for 75$ a pop, she gives us this big hauty "I'm too busy for you right now."
This has been happening for a month. She calls in, leaves a message last night, and says that she refuses to pay her bill because her service isn't working.
Sorry, lady, but you're going to collections and about to get a hit on your credit score.
