Raising Arizona
The Hudsucker Proxy
The Big Lebowski
O Brother, Where Art Thou?
No Country for Old Men
Burn After Reading
A Serious Man
Even with just those, I am prepared to say they're my favorite directors around
this reminds me
i saw the trailer for A Serious Man and it looked good, but the movie never played around here and nobody sells the DVD
was it good? i might order it online
It is very good
And the rest came in today, so...group shot! Every Coen Brothers feature film released so far:
Also, I hadn't kept up with my new game acquisitions for a couple weeks, so here they are:
Actually I may have posted The Sly Collection before, but I finally played it this week and now I'm pissed at myself for not picking it up back in 2002. Amazing game.
NSMB Wii actually came with my Wii, but the case is new (bought it off of eBay because I didn't like the cardboard sleeve it came in).
Gonna go through Darksiders on 360, since I already did on PS3 back at release. I never played either of the two GTAIV expansions, so $40 for the whole deal (especially when I've been wanting to run through IV again) was a no-brainer.
Mario All-Stars is...Mario All-Stars. Not much to say there! Good fun then, good fun now.
Haven't played Punch-Out!! yet

I think the big problem is that early concepts were making it look like a dark, bleak, cyberpunk thriller, then it comes out and it's just another Disney game.
It reeks of corporate interference.
Also, Kuratosu: you can fight me on SSF4 sometime if you like.

Except for the fact that the concept art you're referring to was never meant to be shown to the public when it was and was never indicative of what the final product would be
You realize that the concept art for Epic Mickey, the one everyone liked, was brought up alongside the news "Hey Warren Spector is making a Mickey Mouse game and it's going to be a pretty odd change of pace for the character"
You realize that the concept art in question is not, in fact, a gallery art portrait, like that Mario art is?
The netbook's an ASUS 1015T, green/white book is Me Talk Pretty One Day, red one is Trouble Shooter, and the bottom game is Other M.
Also DA:O - Awakening, F.E.A.R., and Red Faction: Guerilla on Steam, Microsoft wireless receiver for 360 pad PC goodness, and a 1TB Seagate hard drive that I have yet to install.

cj: I've played about 5-ish hours of Epic Mickey so far, and I'd argue that it's still pretty bleak and melancholy. The stuff with Oswald is actually quite touching.
I also don't know how Disney let Junction Point get away with Mickey Junk mountain. That's some not so subtle commentary on Disney merchandise and consumerism.
As for the game itself, I'm really enjoying it so far. Not gonna lie, the camera's a pain in the ass, but if you're able to look past it, there's something special about this game.
Also, I'm down for some SSIV some time. I'll get my ass kicked for sure, but should be fun! My PSN is in my sig.
It's just Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 on Blu ray. This is the first time I've seen 2000, and I gotta say Rhapsody in Blue is completely awesome. But the original Fantasia is still superior in many ways.
Origine is just the French title forced down our throats. Biligual packaging laws don't clutter things at all.

I prefer Fantasia original as well, but 2000 is still really good.
Are you that fucking dense?
I may be mistaken on this, but I believe the concept art everyone is referring to was put onto the online portfolio of an artist, and everyone just assumed that it was related to the new rumored Disney game coming from Warren Spector. At no point did Disney come out and say "Yeah, this is art for the game we're working on.", so you shouldn't relate that concept art to Epic Mickey any more than that art there to Mario Galaxy.
Edit:
But Pulham isn't the only artist associated with the project at the source of an online leak. Posters on NeoGAF have dug up some gorgeously bleak concept art for the title as well, which were posted on the websites of former Junction Point artists Fred Gambino and Gary Glover. Naturally, the artwork seems to have disappeared from Gambino's website, and Glover's link to his environmental concept art portfolio (which seems to be where the related art was posted) now mysteriously redirects to SignOnSanDiego.com. But you can still see the concept art in the NeoGAF post, and we've posted a few of the pieces here as well.
I found Fantasia super-boring as a kid. I wonder if I'd dig it now.
it's not a very good piece
Fantasia 2000 is superior in every way
i mean sure, the good stuff in Fantasia is better than in Fantasia 2000- bald mountain, sorceror's apprentice, etc- but its much more inconsistent and the bad parts are fucking dreadful
I like how people go into games with unrealistic and completly wrong expectations and blame the game instead of giving it a fair chance and accept it on its own merits.
It makes me look back on my life and see all these things I truly loved but apparently aren't allowed to.

I think most people posted in the loot thread when the christmas forum was up. Not much of a reason to repost it here.

This is the weirdest meme ever
Boo-urns in the context it came from meant he wasn't saying "boo"
He was actually cheering on Burns
"It's okay, Mickey - you're still inside the dream!"
I know - and I think about it every time I use it - but I still use it as a way to say boo.

Epic Mickey has got to be the most debated game of 2010.
I loved it and had absolutely no problems but most people seem to rate it below most shovelware.

You use that same argument every time
Point is it existed, it was seen by the public and it colored perception
It was then always going to be a disappointment if it didn't live up to that
(Except by me, who thought the concept art was retarded and rather like the look of the actual product)
Oh my god that looks awesome!
What the hell is this brightly colored bullshit?

If that's the case, it's the world's biggest coincidence working against a third-party Wii game that may have actually mattered
And if that's the case, oh well, life is not fair, and Epic Mickey is certainly not immune.
the camera is seriously one of the worst pieces of shit i've seen
1997 psone levels of shitty, which is fucking inexcusable in this day and age
