Flawless? Sure, wanna catch me a flawless Darmanitan, lol?
Hey, man, choose something that can appear when you use Sweet Scent.
I thought you were just gonna breed one like you said earlier, I wasn't specifically saying catch one. And shit, I have no idea what's Sweet Scent catchable and what's not. I was just throwing out a poke. If it's a hassle, don't sweat it.
Ah, right. I was going to breed it later anyway :P I'll post it on the thread when I do it.
Quick breeding question regarding Ditto. So I have a male of any pokemon that can be bred, and a ditto. The offspring will be the same as the father, correct? For example, a Male totodile and a ditto will produce another totodile, correct?

If someone creates a miracle foolproof medicine that is a cure for the common cold, cancer and loneliness but it has the minor side effects of explosive diarrhea, uncontrollable bleeding from the eyes and murder-fugues, that's not a total 'resounding' success.

Yup
Good to know! I spent a good 30 minutes restarting Pokemon Black last night in order to get a female Oshawatt for breeding purposes. The ditto route makes it much easier.
The only change in Gen IV-V breeding mechanic as of HG/SS was the Power Item breeding, it just inherits two additional IVs from either parent randomly. So you could also pass HP IV and a Power Item stat, you just won't be able to pass the former stat with certainty.

The guide you posted describes Emerald/DPPt IV inheritance, where you can have anywhere from 1-3 IVs inherited. HGSS goes back to always having 3 IVs to be inherited in any permutation for the parents, and determines them at the same time, making HP and Def have the same odds of being inherited as any other IVs. The power items just force it into one of the inheritance spreads that has that IV being inherited from that parent. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_breeding#Generation_IV
Don't forget the dream world musharna in the dream yard today.
I caught mine, but it's male.
it's not like telekinesis is all that great
Telepathy has its uses if you do a lot of double/triple battles, but yeah.
So tonight I discovered that wild Mamoswines exist in the shaking grass where you find Kyurem (possibly because it's winter?). Bit of a rough surprise when you're looking for Audinos...
I have nearly every flavor of ditto except modest. And I'm not sure if I want to just transfer my ditto whorehouse to Black or build a new one from scratch.
Yes, the maximum stat for a level is calculated by assuming a favorable nature, a 31 IV, and 252 EVs. Similarly, the minimum stat is calculated by assuming a negative nature, a 0 IV, and 0 EVs.

I thought the guide had been updated for HG/SS. Clearly I was mistaken. That is the only thing that changed that the 4 year old guide doesn't cover.
OK yes, if you want to mince words. 3 IVs are always inherited from one or both parents. As I said above the Power item one and 2 other randomly determined parent IVs, I did forget to say always.
Though it's practically sadistic not to do Power Item breeding either way as breeding is already enough of a crap shoot, so in my mind only two are actually of concern as they are random. You can also use a Power Item on the other parent but then nothing is assured and it may take the father's IV or it may take the mother's, then 2 random IVs from one or both.

The whole confusion started when you were saying something about how HP was harder to inherit in the first place, which hasn't been true since DPPt.
EDIT: ah, I think I interpreted the original question differently. I'd read it as him asking if using the power item would preclude the first "inheritances wave" and make it impossible to get the HP IV if you power itemed a different one, which is why I kept saying that the ratios were even, whereas you were responding about how any stat, including HP, had a chance of either inheriting a parent's IV or getting a random value.

Serebii has a chart of max stats with hindering nature, neutral nature and beneficial nature for hp/atk/def/etc. for levels 50 and 100. I can't tell if they include EVs or not.
However they are given in ranges, signifying what i would assume different IV levels.

Yeah, that guide is 4 years old. They changed the IV inheritance mechanism in HGSS
