I love you man was the best movie to see with my buddies, cloudy was the best to see with my family. Hangover was good, but it wasn't my style of movie (and yet I own it)
It was really well-reviewed, has a great cast and is really clever. It's an animated children's movie and there is not a single fart joke in the whole thing.
I still love both of Jason Segel's proposed endings for How I Met Your Mother

I think I might know what the plot's gonna be based on
there was a book I vaguely remember reading in third grade about a kid stuck in Legoland over night, where he discovered that everything in the park came alive at night. The animals could move around and hurt you, or you could befriend them. In addition, if you crafted a weapon, it became functional.
All I know is, I swear to God, if they try and pluralise Lego by adding an 'S', I'm going to find the script writer and cut him until people can refer to him as Mister Alan Smithees.
Update for what has gone down in the past two years:
Still directed and written by Chris Lord and Phill Miller, the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and 21 Jump Street guys.
The known cast is:
Chris Pratt as Emmett
Allison Brie as Uni-Kitty
Morgan Freeman as Vitruvius
Will Arnett as Batman
Will Ferrel as President Business
Liam Neeson as Bad Cop
Nick Offerman as Metalbeard
Elizabeth Banks as ???
Emmett is mistaken as the legendary special master builder, despite lacking the actual powers, and gets sucked into a war between President Business and the rest of the free LEGOs.

I'm pretty sure if you had given 12 year old me a million dollars and a movie studio, this is more or less what he would have come up with

Oh man, didn't know there was a thread already for this. Normally I'd be wary at BEST but I've trusted Phil Lord and Chris Miller since Clone High and they haven't disappointed yet.
That looks surprisingly good. The weird techno version of Take On Me in the background distracted me for a while when I was trying to figure out what it was.

Target had it on blu-ray for $10 but they were out so I got a rain check and then forgot about it
I found Meatballs funnier than The Hangover, but the Hangover is still funny.
Did not like I Love You Man at all despite loving both Segel and Rudd.
still
I thought it was awful
nothing is any good on a plane, man
can't blame him I guess
no, the funniest comedy of 2009 was probably in the loop or the informant!
or black dynamite
What makes you say that?

This would be serviceable in a movie, I think.

i'm still as excited for a LEGO movie as i ever imagined myself being
Lord and Miller are great, smart writers.
I can hardly believe how fun this looks
It's on VHS, so even if I could find a VCR to convert it to digital, the tape is probably fucked by now.
I need this movie

Steam
You should watch it, it is super fun and clever and really well animated.
I was expecting something like the lego video games, but this looks more like actual toys
and that's fantastic
This looks very similar, and that is a good thing.
