    Variety is claiming that Logan Lerman and Dylan O'Brien are being considered for Spider-Man, but Marvel/Sony haven't made a final decision on whether or not Spider-Man will be Peter Parker or Miles Morales.

    If we are getting Peter Parker, and a white Peter Parker, I'd be pretty happy with Lerman

    but I would definitely prefer a PoC Peter Parker, slim as those chances may be

    I'd say there's a good amount of support for Miles, considering how his name spontaneously started trending yesterday after the announcement.

    On there's definitely support

    But Peter Parker, the character, is a pop culture icon and there a ton of very real reasons (both financially and creatively) why he should be the MCU Spider-Man

    There's also a bunch for Miles being under the mask

    Personally the best choice, to me, would be to make Peter a PoC

    If they do miles first a ton of people are going to be like what, that's not Spider-Man. It's not like he's a widely known character.

    but they could also just say "He's a different Spider-Man and here's why he is rad"

    like I agree Peter is the way easier, far more likely option

    but Miles is absolutely doable without Peter existing first
