I did a quest for a guy and he mentioned a place called 'Facade' which I assume is a place you can go in the original game, which is cool, but the game treats that information with the reverence it deserves, which is a quick 'well, that's neat I guess, but it's gone now so who cares?'

Extra Credits did a thing on Nier: Automata. It's spoilers 100% about route E so if you haven't finished the game don't watch. But basically they agree with all of us who have finished it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxC0iIdkO6o

a) so what if you didnt buy any of the status cure items on a whim, or only bought a couple? Are you just fucked at That Part? I luckily had some, but jesus that was brutal
b)
i fought a billion androids, escaped the bunker, landed on earth, and immediately had to fight a bunch of extremely strong robots. I died and got a Fuck You game over I hadnt seen before, and sent all the way back to when the virus first takes the bunker.
Fuck That. That fuckin' sucks.

To answer question a, yes. You are just fucked on that part. Like I was.

The bad news: I looked up a trophy guide to see how many fish I needed to catch, and apparently I need to look up 2B's skirt TEN TIMES to get a trophy?

Yes.
Also, no.
(Post Route C Cool Thing spoiler)
There's a way to get that trophy without doing that action that will become available after Route C is completed.
The route C prologue is brutal to the point of almost not being fun, and I was about five minutes away from saying Fuck It and moving on before I finished it
This has been a real fun game, but that whole section fucking sucks
I mean, you aren't permanently fucked, it just really really sucks. Like, really bad.
I didn't even realize you could cure it. I thought it was just a neat way for the game to fuck with you and pushed through it.
Same. It even speeds up or slows down depending on how fast you're progressing towards the goal point, so I figured it was sure to be plot-related.
You cant cure it at that part, you just have to slog through. I was referring to a point where you're playing as 9S and constant EMP attacks lock out various controls.

Oh. I didn't even realize it did that, I blew up the entire group in a single dodge-counter repeatedly.
Demon's Cry fists have a special where the dodge-counter does some sort of widespread burst that quite literally annihilates every non-large mook in a ten foot radius around me instantly.
my trick for that part was to accidentally think they told me to go to the factory instead of the commercial center, so i guess going out the back way is a bit easier
Putting the crater between you and your goal is a real dick move at the start of C
I had to load up on every no stagger thing I had just to hop my ass out of there.
I made my way to the far right side, where the gap is, and waited to regain full control before quickly leaping across.

Like, I guess you can just turn the difficulty all the way down to as easy as it goes at any point you feel that the game is fucking you over too much since there is no 'penalty' for doing that and reset it after that point, but I didn't want to do that.
I spent a lot of time redoing that section because I kept getting hit with the status effects and I had zero status cures bought in my adventures and I had no idea that it would be that detrimental to my play. I was thinking "status effect, like poison." Not "status effect, like, you can't control your character and you die."

Unless you don't like hacking. Then just fight stuff. You can do heavy attacks by pressing the attack button almost immediately after the dodge button, and you can still do launchers and stuff by pressing attack immediately after jump. And holding the attack button generally gives you ranged moves with the different weapons.
And try out the different weapon types. Some of them do neat stuff.
If you want to fight, just fuse chips until you're hitting like a truck and non-stop recovering health while you hit/kill/exist, and you can basically fight almost anything without much trouble even in route B
I really like that chip system. I wish there had been a way to shrink chips though, breaking that game with an everything maxed 2B would have been fun.
By fusing the best chips you could get some really good stuff that wouldn't take up too much space. I think by the end my best attack chips only took up like 8 or 9 slots.
But by the end of the end I felt like I was killing stuff TOO fast. I don't think I was using any attack up chips by then, just health stuff and witch time.

I should probably just order it from AmiAmi or a similar store who actually has stock as opposed to waiting on the Square Enix Store.
