Let's Try to get the Princess and Zyne on the edge of the Undead Field and ready to push up and kill Ravinith.
We need to make sure someone is in the Undead fields, even if we decide to push against Exahr so that we can choose which way Marianne goes so she doesn't draw 12 troops from Exahr's town on her march south.
Going Ravinth way, she only gets 7 troops and we got 2~ turns before we need to worry about engaging her, and we can possible engage from the mountains north/north-east of Ravinith.
If /when we enter the undead area, we either occupy almost all of it in one turn or we directly kill the necromancer girl. The alternative is horde of extra combat for no gain at all. If you have a decent army, it's ok to park just outside, 2/4 troops shouldn't bother you at all, but entering will have the hordes converge on you.
Yea park in the dragon mountains just south of the undead fields. You'll weather a defense in the mountains and we'll be set up for next turn to make a line drive to Ravinith, or at least set the path for the princess to seal the deal.
We need to make sure to give her enough to move to the edge without stepping in Rav or Exahr's domains.
Of course i dont know how we deal with next turn's illness. Is there a separate pool we have to set aside resources for the illness, or is it as soon as she gets 10, she consumes them no matter what? Because we would rather her be sick and we make the drive for Rav and then I heal her.
Keep in mind there are 3 troops next to josephene as well in the path of the princess
I wouldn't. You'll get zerged and then they'll all respawn
Oh son of a.... I missed the "respawns soldiers everywhere" part.
Sitting on the edge then, they are still getting to attack me and respawn whomever I kill.
Given we have to drive through towards Rav, shouldn't we get someone lined up the forest hex 2 south of Rav? If Gato is going for Exahr, then I'd probably need to park in that spot sooner rather than later so I can make the push for Rav and not just eat soldier attacks that respawn while still needing to move farther.
Dragon and princess should be in the 2 forest areas next to the undead. Zyne in one of the border mountain. That way we have 3 tries (2 with dragon, 1 with Zyne) to kill the necromancer next turn, than princess come up behind and clean up on straggling dead.
This turn, no one should stop on the ice guy tile. Next turn, there will be someone neareer on the undead tile, and twin girl will move thoward them, and than we should go freely to fight the money guy. If he can cross the tile and go out the other side it's ok, we will have some more problem to kill the undead girl, but we should make do.
Ok, so let's plan long term. How we kill the emperor? We go after a lot of the other heroes, we go for the dark knight or we get tons of troops and grind through him?
Because if we go after the heroes the twins are definitely some of the easy one to kill, if correctly attacked.
I think general plan is to push Princess Stronghold - Lake city - Capitol helping her as much as possible on her way. Gato deals with Chancelor, someone baits twins. Would be nice to have someone clearing her path as well.

The emperor actually isn't overly strong. First we get someone to move the 6 troops out of the way (or kill them by coordinating the princess to end her turn on one and let the other attack, or kill them directly)
The emperor will deal 5 + #troops - 2 to the princess who has (ideally) 6 + #troops health. So as long as the emperor has 2 troops over the princess or fewer she just steamrolls him. That means we just need to kill 1-4 troops depending on if the princess takes any health damage, and at that point we can just suicide in
Ice Lord fate
Bane of the Capital - As long as this character is on the map, the princess will now move towards this character instead of the Capital (highest priority).
Since Elvenshae is going for the IceLord, and now the Princess is as well. Our timetable has been moved up.
Zyne will need to step into the undead fields so Marianne will stay away from Exahr.
take the hits to preserve your army if needed, Zyne, because they will come back next turn. I'll heal you.
I suspect Im gonna be performing triage for Zyne and the Dragonborn.

Okay, so that's not good; totally hoses my plans to just park him out of the way and leave him alone for the rest of the game.
So, just to make sure I understand the rules ... When the princess fights an enemy character, any "dice effects" don't matter - so the Ice Lord's -1 die when fighting him doesn't apply. However, they fight with their health value, not their combat strength, so the Ice Lord counts as 5 damage, not 3 (his combat strength), plus his 6 troops. The Princess is currently at 6 health + 3 troops + 2 DR, so she dies if she runs into him without assistance.
She has 4 resources, and is going to take 1 step for free this round, towards the Ice Lord; I suggest this should be the mountain to her N, so she can bypass the 4 troops on the road. Then she won't be able to afford the step into the Forest if she gets at least one more soldier this round, so she'll collect 1 resource (possibly multiple times based on how many troops she gets), then step onto the three troops in the forest, taking 1 damage, and then be unable to move into the woods nearer the Ice Lord. It might make sense to let her take the 2 damage from illness next turn to buy us extra time to whittle him down.
The 4 troops on the road don't exist anymore, they attacked the princess last turn and died. If @Phyphor doesn't move away from the city, the princess will still finish exactly where we want her (on the forest with 3 troops , killing them losing only one troop, unless we kill at least 1 of them before her turn).
Ok, whelp, we gotta get the Ice Lord out of his city so we can handle him in the field without killing ourselves, so I'll continue on with that portion of my plan, at least.
I play Forged Orders (Choose 1 empire unit on the same area and move it 1 space in any direction).
I choose the Ice Lord, and move him 1 space SE to the road. Then, I move into the spot he just vacated as my second action. (The original plan was to stick him on the troops to the NW of his original position, thereby clearing out the citadel and effectively eliminating him and his troops and the reinforcements from the game.)
I draw a card as my third action.
On the Empire's turn, the 8 troops near me will combine and attack, and I'll defend with 7 dice which is not great but is better than attacking the Ice Lord in the citadel. Any remaining empire troops of the 8 that attack me will retreat to the NW (two groups combined to attack me from N and NW, so we can pick either location for them to retreat to). The Twin will move south into an empty square, gaining no reinforcements, and then attack me in the Stronghold on her next turn. I can hang out here to force the Princess East if that's what we want, or slide out and resume my march to the Chancellor to let the Princess pass by.

We need to get rid of the Chancellor. The ice guy is in the way.
Also, I said I was going to do this, and no one said not to.

Teahnically, killing her is optional and if she gets led away to the west towards the Chancellor that's fine too

Yes.
No.
Nope. She will attack me next turn while I am in a defensive location with a grand total of four troops.
