Ok folks. It's complete. My hands are stained blue perhaps permanently... And it's horn is blue because I bought the wrong color fondant but here is the final outcome.
I've been staring at this for like five minutes.
I know you are making this for someone else, but thank you very much for sharing.
I'm not sure which side of the debate I'm on, but I've been gradually working towards accepting art commissions online and while I haven't drawn any smut yet, I'm open to the idea if it pays well. I work for a federal government office and I'd rather not have anyone discover my side project even if it doesn't actually get me fired. I've been carefully curating a separate social media presence in the hopes that people I know irl will never find it. It's kind of stressful to be honest.
(By the way Instagram is the worst for this. I signed up under a new email and it immediately offered up my phone contacts including my supervisor as potential followers. I unlinked my phone but people say it's impossible to get Instagram to stop recommending your secret account to people you know)
Which would be worse, your co-workers being weirded out/high ground jerks about you drawing smut, or being REALLY into it?
Yep, if you don't want people to look at your stuff, set to private.
This only works if something like Facebook maintains your privacy settings.
Which it doesn't. It has a history of pushing people set at private back into public without their knowledge or consent.
I don't know if you've taken this step, but that's a big reason why every teacher I know uses facebook under a fake name. Just in case.
Yeah my friend was finishing her teaching degree on a scholarship and one of the stipulations of the scholarship was "maintaining a professional attitude always, on or off school grounds" so when we had parties she would literally run from the camera. It was a little insane.
Not completely insane. I've known teachers who were either fired or had to go through a lot of unwanted public scrutiny because some parent saw something "unacceptable" on their public profiles. I suppose public teachers could be protected by a union, but private or charter teachers should be super careful about having any sort of online presence no matter how milquetoast it may seem.
I mean jeez, just look at the negative publicity the teachers in Newton, MA are getting these days and that's just from public records. You'd better believe every teacher in that school is having their public persona examined on a regular basis by the APT and other groups.
Every teacher friend I know does not have their real name on facebook.
i do. when i started teaching i made a conscious decision in the knowledge that our curriculum includes aspects of 'digital citizenship,' and that modelling sensible social media use is important. i don't blame teachers who do change their name, but i feel like it's important to be able to present to kids what a reasonable, respectable - and often useful and enriching - social media presence looks like. i do keep my privacy settings quite tight, usually, but that's part of it too.
kids need guidance with this stuff. "sir, i found your facebook!" is actually a good way in to a meaningful discussion about privacy settings and who to 'friend.' when they see a few family photos and interesting shared links and not much else, i like to think they build an idea of how a public online presence can and should be managed
In other news, as I have mentioned before my wife's office is a nightmare town full of garbage people who don't understand basic office etiquette. One lady keeps her ringer on full volume, her husband calls multiple times a day, and she has the entire song of Hotel California play while her phone rings. If shes out of the room they have to hear the whole thing because she doesn't have voicemail set up. The guy in their office is a 46 year old gay man who keeps trying to show them all very work inappropriate videos and pictures of muscle guys in speedos working out. And the oldest lady only ever wants to talk about religion and politics.
These are their minor every day infractions. On top of that they keep the room at 85 degrees because all the olds get cold.
Today one of my wife's co workers has been playing "funny christmas music" out of her speakers and was reminded how much she loved this song so she payed it three times in a row:

I share my name with a female porn star (I'm a guy) so it's often hard for people to find anything on me. That said, I'm now also a volunteer public official so I'm sure I'll get more hits from that.

Realistically, any parent who has NOT named their child after a porn star has potentially ruined their future.
So the taxi company have suspended the driver that touched my wife's knee.
Whilst I don't like the idea of someone potentially losing their job around Christmas, the fact that they suspended him straight away makes me wonder if this isn't his first complaint.
Of course, this could've been avoided if he wasn't a creep.
Yes my wife usually wears a short sleeve shirt under her jack even in the dead of winter. They got in trouble before because they use to share a wall with the server room and they were making that wall too hot, but they got moved.

Have you considered your wife may be an intern in Hell? Like see how the conditions are while you're alive, see if you respond appropriately, then they get you set up with an actual position in the Infernal Bureaucracy post-mortem.

So my branch is just one of many businesses that rent space in a large building.
Bad news: Tomorrow, the owners of the building are inviting everyone who works in it to come up to the whatever floor they're on and enjoy a free lunch buffet. Going to miss out because I'll be home.
Good news: I'll be home.

I'm just gonna put this here but
So my identity got stolen right, and they used my debit card for some shit
Well even after the fraud claim went through I still have about a $2,000 overdraft on my account.
So I get to spend Christmas on the phone with the bank trying to figure everything out, I guess.
And I still haven't gotten a new debit card so : |
EDIT: Some of the most annoying things about this is that I had everything with a subscription fee on that card, so now all of my online services are slowly getting nixed one after another. Can't play online on the switch. Won't be able to watch Netflix or Crunchyroll soon. WoW sub got canceled.
Just peachy all around.

Don't worry about it. Free lunch buffets always come with a pitch for buying into a timeshare.
FUN SIDE STORY: One time on vacation with the family, we were doing a boat tour thing. It was like this big tour boat they took around Miami and showed you the various nearby islands, landmarks on the waterfront, etc. Probably 50 people on the boat, with a tour guide and all that. They randomly drew two people were randomly drawn as a sort of "door prize". My sister-in-law was one of the two people drawn for the mystery prize. They said she'd get her prize package when we got back to land.
So, after the tour ends, we get back to the dock and they take her and the other person who "won" into their little office and we wait around outside.
For an hour.
She eventually comes out with a pen and a spiral notebook with the tour company's logo and says that was the prize pack, but they made her sit through an hour-long sales pitch for a Miami timeshare that their parent company runs.
Ah, it stinks, it sucks, it's anthropologically unjust

My storage unit in our parking garage got busted into last night. Took one of the two large storage containers I had put in there. Problem is, I don't remember exactly what was in there so now we get to dig through everything and figure out what's missing that was valuable enough to keep instead of throwing out.

Years ago, the library I was working for had a travelling Library Champion trophy. If you won it, you kept it for a week, uploaded a photo of yourself holding it, and then chose a new champion with a nice post explaining why you picked them. Happily, one of the top results for my name is this:
Work is doing something very unusual now: policing the parking lot for illegally parked cars. Cars parked in the handicap spots when they don't belong, cars parking on the No Parking end caps, cars parking in more than one spot, cars parking in the motorcycle parking, etc.
Right now they're getting copies of the memorandum that was sent out, reminding people to not be an asshole when parking, attached to their windshields. They got lucky, because the warden was gung-ho to have them all towed at owner's expense but was persuaded to back down for the moment because towing people's cars the week before Christmas is horrible optics. Come New Year though? Game on.

I know Amex has a policy for social media where you can talk about where you work but absolutely cannot talk about things that haven't been announced and can't answer questions for people and have to leave it to the social media dept.
I heard of someone getting fired because they posted on twitter about a celebrity they talked to and posted their name. That person got fired that same day.

I get anxiety about the weirdest things.
Called out to a 97 year old card holder. She was talking to me for a few minutes and then started talking about how long she has been with us and always paid her balance and then she stopped responding. Not sure if the call dropped or not but I feel concerned.
Edit: Team leader let me call back. Immediately went to voice mail. Phone battery probably ran out of power.

Hopefully it'll be ok, but we're having to fix a lot of design and designer directed decisions 48h before delivery.
It's been super fun.
Its amazing between old boss and new that there is still a business.
Has old boss been mostly okay coming on as a sub?
No, he is the reason things are on fire.
I do accept my own culpability in this, my morale has been so low I'm not finding the energy to perform herculean tasks on a daily basis. Fortunately New Owner has turned a corner after he and I had a very pointed conversation. We've been trying to fix things, we're on the same page, and we're both rather furious.

Don't sexually harass people if you don't want to get suspended for sexual harassment, it's not that hard to understand.
I know, I'm glad they've done what they've done.
I guess that's one good thing about big corporations, their word carries alot of weight.
