I dunno... It was pretty satisfying to blast the fuck out of a bunch of guys with the laser. And they're super easy and short.
Well, not always. I had to do the first elephant one close to a dozen times before I finally figured out the various combination of things the game wanted me to do at each segment so I could stay alive, kill the required number of things, and meet the time limit. That was frustrating.

Ah I never ran into an issue with em. My main issue is that the loading times on the Switch were insane so it'd be a long ass loading screen to load up a level that lasted like 2 minutes and you don't get any EXP for doing it.
They're fucking chaos nonsense all over the screen, trying to control a plodding piece of shit as it plasters the screen with icons that may or may not actually fucking mean any fucking thing. I got held up by a pack of five lynels sitting on the side of a mountain with warning icons that never fucking disappeared. Kept shooting them, did nothing. Used the R button, wouldn't let me target them because I guess aerial bombardment is for lowland only. Guard button? No, that's for the OTHER kind of projectiles, apparently.
As this was happening, apparently a swarm was making its way to the thing I was supposed to be guarding that it never told me to guard. So then it fails the mission, but that's not all it does. It goes to a literal fucking minute of unskippable dialogue and system messages about it. After all that, it asks "Would you like to restart from checkpoint?" Yes, thank you. Fucking finally. Please. So guess what that did. It kicks me back to the checkpoint where it has another minute of unskippable dialogue that I get to watch for a second time.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE. It saved that the swarm was at the thing to be guarding, that the thing was almost dead, and I'm on the opposite side of the map. So guess who's going to be sitting through all that fucking bullshit a second time? And then a third time when I got to restart from the very start of the mission.
Whoever designed this shit and thought it belonged in a fast-paced action game needs to be kicked in the teeth with a trout.
The psp stick was weird and is more like the stick on the 3ds where it's some weird captive slider thing. The vita thumb sticks are full analog thumb sticks like the ones on the switch. I'm not really sure why they went with that style of stick for the psp.
So you could put it directly in your pocket without anything sticking up to get caught on stuff or ripped off.
I have a case for my Switch, I would never put the whole unit in a tight space that isn't designed for it, just leaving the sticks exposed.
Yeah, the guardian beast levels are kind of eh. Vah Rudania is straight terrible. The others are tolerable? Vah Nabooris is the only really good one and only because it's OP as fuck.
So I'm not familiar with the anime and hadn't heard of the game until recently, but Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World: The Prophecy of the Throne (what a mouthful) seems like it could be good. Part visual novel, part tactical RPG.

The anime/light novel are essentially torture/drama porn, and yeah, literally every popular franchise gets a VN spinoff, almost always just copy pasting the script with a couple extra scenes to appeal to all the various ships. They're uniformly horrible.

Most likely right. I watched some gameplay and it doesn't seem quite as good as I thought the trailer made it look. Certainly not worth getting unless there's a deep discount.

I've played one of them, Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception. Would love if they made one or ported any of them to Switch.

The annoying thing about all those optional missions and blue coins in Sunshibe is that they’re basically worthless for progression. Story events that unlock certain levels are unlocked with certain numbers of shine sprites, but there’s no skipping worlds in Sunshine like in 64. You have to do the 7th mission in each world to unlock the ending, and the last shine sprite threshold for unlocking stuff in the plaza is 30, which you can get pretty easily on your way to getting 7 in each world.
Enjoying Cyber Shadow so far. I felt right at home immediately. Super thankful for these indie developers making these games. Difficulty has been fine for me so far. 1st stage felt easy, but later on I started to die some. Not nearly as difficult as Ninja Gaiden, but a good challenge.

Agreed, Cyber Shadow is so very fun. Tight controls and really fun bosses so far.
Does Cyber Shadow try to mimic Ninja Gaiden's storytelling as well, or just the gameplay?
I feel like devs seem to forget the former is just as important to NG's style, if not the most important thing... 2's intro still gives me chills.
Forget about him... at least, for now.
I admit to not being familiar with Ninja Gaiden to the extent that I remember no more than the intro to 1, but there have been several "cutscenes" by Chapter 4 that have exposited on the setting, major actors, and so on.
My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.

Ok, so the most recent game I beat was Rive...which was a fun little twin stick shooter type game that I was ready to be done with by the end.
I'm working my way through Eagle Island, which is full of cheap garbage that I'm forcing myself to beat it just so the game doesn't beat me. I'm also almost done with Creature in the Well, which has some crazy hard stuff toward the end. Oy...
The director of the original game has tweeted about Mario stuff a lot post-release, so I'd be shocked if we didn't get a sequel.
Man, I'm glad he wasn't implicated in anything and survived the Ubisoft purge. He seems like a great guy.
(I assume it's because Ubisoft Milano did M+R, whereas a lot of the abuse was out of France and Canada.)
It's possible that distance helped, and that Serge Hascoet (former Chief Creative Officer and the main reason that like 80 percent of Ubisoft's games are extremely similar open world things) didn't rule with an iron fist there. Maybe you're right, maybe they didn't experience the crap like the rest of the company did.
Balan Wonderworld demo should be out? Although it sounds like Squeenix should maybe rethink putting literally everything on demo. And maybe Nintendo should play a game for just a few minutes before sticking it in their directs.

I have found that strange as well. Maybe it's a later upgrade?
Like when X and Zero got equipped with knees in Mega Man X5?
Like Mega Man Legends? Then check out my story, Legends of the Halcyon Era - An Adventure in the World of Mega Man Legends on TMMN and AO3!

How strange, I wasn't aware they made any X games after 4.

Sign me up for a sequel - the original is probably my most pleasant surprise on the Switch.

That doesn't make any sense, they didn't make any X games after 4.
I've honestly never heard of fans trying to unperson X5 before. X7 for sure, but X5, really? You need to get some chill.
To be fair, the boss names in X5 had some tooth-grindingly stupid names thanks to a Guns N' Roses obsession.
Sorry, I love Duff McWhalen oh so much. It's just so dumb.
