T4: IDK, goldspan? 6/6 goldspan? that makes 2 treasures when it attacks if Ognis is still alive?

It seems blue to me, honestly. Big sea creature, taps stuff, makes little sea creatures. Green gets big stats pretty often, it doesn't usually get giant stats + punisher effect.

Mostly what feels green is trample, ward, and a big stats/MV ratio
blue gets big sea creatures but they're usually more expensive
Blue gets ward; hexproof blue stuff is almost as common as hexproof green stuff. And there are plenty of conditional draft rares that are sea monsters of some kind, like the Theros one that got bigger and made 1/1s whenever you drew.

It’s a fringe case. White is the one color that doesn’t tend to get those types of creatures, but red often has big attack zero defense types, black frequently has “huge, cheap guy with downside” or the infrequent “just huge guy for huge.” Blue frequently gets enormous toughness monsters for cheap, but very infrequently gets huge cheap downside guy.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

Yes. X mana for an X/X is baseline for creatures in post 2020 magic. Anything below that level is underpowered for its stats and needs to have an especially strong set of abilities to see play even in limited. For constructed playables, it probably needs to be X mana for an X+1/X+1 creature with upside like Barkhide Troll or Werewolf Pack Leader.
This is a C+ limited uncommon, you're probably happy to play this in any of your green decks but it's not on the level of the truly good uncommons from Kamigawa.
Edit: I misread the rarity symbol and it's a common instead of an uncommon. It's certainly going to be one of the top 5 green commons through I doubt it will see play outside of limited.
It's probably the second best common in the set, under Murder. People in discord were comparing it to Sarulf's Packmate, which seems pretty apt. The benefit of fixing vs cards is hard to directly compare, but in a set with as many 3 color cards as this one, I'd suspect the comparison to be pretty damn accurate.
I kind of love the inadvertent story these three cards tell.
Mr. Orfeo was jumped by a bunch of guys once. But aside from his big hammer (shovel? mace?) he had his trusty knuckledusters, and so he was suddenly doing 8 damage. He still took lethal, but the Riveteers brought him back.
(yes it requires him to be attacking, not attacked, and for there to be a sacrificed creature, shut up)

I get why they did the once-per-turn restriction (it's popping up a lot on things that might otherwise be insane engines) but it's not like it could go infinite without it. Once you sac a Kobold, you're done!

That's assuming you have nothing else in the loop that can bring back something bigger.
The once a turn clause can be kind of cirsumvented by using it on your opponents' turns, also. Which makes it way better in a 4 player game than a 2 player game.
Yeah, cards that say "you can only do this effect once, during YOUR turn" annoy me. Cards that say "once PER turn" make me rub my hands together and go "ah you've given me a little trixcy puzzle to break"
Working on each turn is great if I want to play a tempo/flash game, and also “a player” instead of “you”, so it Connives when the opponent double-spells too? Love it.
Might be! At its mana cost it's competing with Goldspan and Wrenn & Seven currently, but it's hard to evaluate how the option of Blitz adds to it. It doesn't get flicker power like Thragtusk, it has to die, but 4/4 is a very sweet spot for a token with Esika's Chariot in standard. I can't tell you if it gets there, but it's one of those cards you at least try a lot. It might be cards 61-64 and not make it, but it's close.

how did this green creature get so blue
I get big this guy vibes, and this card saw a lot of play.
add Clackbridge Troll and you got yourself a theme brewing.
uhhhhhhh
does a 3/3 for 3 need that many upsides?
two keywords, plus a treasure to ramp/fix

It's pretty good with that restriction. Without the restriction it would be insane.
