I think if they ever made a Jurassic Park videogame with Crysis-level graphics, where the entire point of the game was to make it through the island without getting eaten by dinosaurs and you got nothing more than a tranquilizer gun with limited ammo, it would be the best game ever.
Still think the best part about Mexico dude, was watching you read the book. Castles of Steel was boring as hell, but knowing that you were silently slogging through every page of Jurassic Park felt awesome.
Fun story number 46: At the very end of the scene where Alan and Elle agree to go Jurassic Park, they give each other a hug and Elle emits this sort of "Wheep-wooooo!" laugh before it cuts to the helicopter. My brother would continually rewind and play that part until I was driven insane.
Now whenever it comes to that part in the movie I must grit my teeth and let out a deep shudder.

i always hated that scene when she sees grant after escaping the raptor in the ultility shed or whatever
whenever she's like breathing heavy and like, "run... run!" or something like that
always felt so awkward
Same, but apparently it's because the rest of the scene was left on the cutting room floor. Elle tells Grant to run towards the shelter and asks about the kids.
Fun Fact: Spielberg asked William Hurt to play Alan Grant, but he turned it down because he didn't think it'd be the kind of film he'd be interested in
Also Jeff Goldblum was Spielberg's first and only choice for Malcolm. When he and Attenborough agreed to be in the film, Spielberg felt extremely relieved.
Yes! Last week my mom found a box of my favorite DVDs that had gotten misplaced in storage when I moved last year. Jurassic Park was on the very top just begging to be watched again. I wish I owned a private theater just so I could fully experience this and Independence Day again.

Every year around Christmastime, one of the local free weeklies does a big auction benefit thing for charity.
This year, one of the items up for bid was a night at a movie theater for you and your friends where you could play whatever you wanted.
It was so hard to not blow two thousand dollars on that.

I would sell at least two limbs for this.
Also, the Jurassic Park game was easily in the top 5 Game Gear games.

Up for auction is a full size replica of the Velociraptor from Jurassic Park. It measures 28 inches from the nose to base of the mount. It is made of high quality poly urethane resin that has been painted and sealed. The dinosaur is mounted to a wooden base that can be mounted to a wall like a trophy animal.

People tend allow a little more suspension of disbelief for story lines in that medium.
It's called Turok.
Too bad the 360/PS3 game sucked ass.
The last wave of JP games have been passable, at best.
it had way more people come watch it that the new indie-ish films they usually show
English or Australian accents preferred when talking about science!
