Few things after playing first 12 hours of ME1 or so:
- I cannot imagine doing a "no reload" playthrough. My poor FPS skills guarantee that every major firefight takes 5-15 reloads to get through.
- Now I finally had a chance to meet this Tali and DO NOT WANT. Disease prone anti-social weirdo whose face you never get to see that somehow has a FOTB accent. Yeah, that's totally hot. /sarcasm
- Speaking of accents... why the hell is everyone in the galaxy speaking English? You'd think the humans would have to cater to the races that were zipping around the universe at FTL speed while Og was teaching Zug to make fire with sticks. This always bothered me about sci-fi. At least in fantasy worlds (i.e. DA) humans are generally he dominant widespread race so it makes some sort of sense that they'd browbeat everyone into learning their language (though again, English, how convenient). And not only do they speak in English, but they have Earth-based accents. Like Tali being from Moscow apparently.
- Who are my other "romance" options as male-Shep? The blue squid and the angry racist? I just gave Wrex some family armor and I think he's coming on to me.

They all have translators. They aren't talking english.

And yes those are the only two romance options.

I like the new look for Ashley. The Olive Oyl haircut and Hello Kitty spacesuit really should have been done away in with ME 2 but I guess that Bioware didn't feel like updating her model for a minute long appearance.

Well shave my back hair and call me an Elf, if that preview info doesn't just get you all wound up, then you're a couple quads short of krantt. Worry not about Tali and the rest, Shepard is going to be recruiting every space ship that's not nailed down to fight the Reapers, I'm sure that convincing the Migrant Fleet to get into the game will involve whisking Tali away to some hellhole of a planet to mine for dark matter. I wonder if we will have Batarian and Rachni squadmates, too ?

I think the weirdest one I've heard was a mod of ME2 on YouTube which was the final Tali romance scene with FemShep... but MeerShep's voice came out of her.

Got my new Game Informer, read the ME3 article. Game starts with Shepard on Earth, effectively on trial in regard to the events of Arrival, and in the middle of the trial, the Reapers invade. Prologue involves Shepard's escape to the Normandy, and off to start finding those allies, fighting Reaper troops (husks of all the different species) the whole way.

Confirmed squadmates: Liara, Ashley/Kaiden, Garrus (if he's alive) and... James Sanders... That must be the guy from the trailer, I don't remember.

Speaking of which, there's a screenshot of Ashley with her hair down, and she actually looks hot. Don't have a scanner, so wait till someone with one turns up.

Confirmed to appear, but not guaranteed as squaddies: Wrex, Mordin, Legion, and Anderson. Obviously, if they live.

The game will by default feature a "previously on Mass Effect" comic to make decisions with if starting from scratch.

The Illusive Man also plays a prominent role, and Cerberus is out to kill Shepard. Reason why is unknown at this point.

The RPG elements are being beefed up, not going back to ME1, but giving more freedom with the character skills. Skill trees will be larger, and powers will evolve several times instead of just once, offering even more freedom. Weapons are ME2 style, with a set list, but mods make a return, not in the ME1 style, but allowing you to swap out different parts such as barrels, scopes, and so on, which effect both the weapon's combat performance and its appearance.

All classes can wield all weapons unhindered now, but will have limited slots to carry them. Only the Soldier can carry all weapons at once. Probably means Adept, Engineer, and Sentinal will be limited to two, and Vanguard and Infiltrator will have three.

Also mentioned: The game will have numerous endings, some good, some bad, and who you have in your squad and which allies you recruit can have a drastic effect on which are available.

That's basically the gist of it, except for the sidebars filled with stuff everyone already knows.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention one thing: Confirmed NO MULTIPLAYER. They're talking about future games and/or spinoffs having it, but not this time.

I'm sure Tali will. Bioware aren't going to want that level of fan ire if not.

The biggest issue I see is that Tali's likely to be instrumental in the whole quarians/geth thing, and getting the quarians on board... hell, I'll be shocked if she's not an admiral at the end of it. Whereas Garrus is still just Shep's bud, he's not really got much else to do besides possibly getting the Hierarchy on board.

One thing I noticed from the image...

It seems peculiar that Anderson would be in the may or may not be squadmate section...instead of just the other appearances section...

Don't know if that was just a editing thing on GI's part of if Bioware worded it that way. Hopefully I'll see when I get my GI issue.
