FAQ
(Q) When does the store usually update?
(A) There's odd nights here and there (Mostly late ones of the odd updates), but for the most part, the US Store tends to update around 5-8 PM EST. And the PAL Store tends to update around 3 PM GMT.
(Q) Can I play all Minis on my PSP and PS3?
(A) Most of them, yes, but not all of them. Tetris is probably the biggest example of this. (PSP-Only) It, like most things with PSN content is Developer-Reliant, so they have to make it work on both if they choose to do so.
(Q) What about PSOne Classics? What can I play them on?
(A) Most of the PSOne Classics (of this writing, there are 2 exceptions) are compatible with both PS3 and PSP. If you own both, you can have it on both platforms and even move your saves between the two platforms.
(Q) Can I play PSOne games I have without buying them again?
(A) Kind of. There is a PS3/PSP Connectivity function called Remote Play where you can play a PSOne Game from your PS3 on your PSP through the internet. It's not great, but it's workable. The PSOne game must be in the PS3 disk-tray to use Remote Play. Also note that some PSN games are also Remote Play compatible.
(Q) I have a PS3, but no PSP. Can I still buy and play PSP games?
(A) Unfortunately, no. While there is minimal PSP emulation on the PS3 (For Minis), it won't work for Full-Blown PSP games. Nobody knows if it is a thing that will happen.
(Still working on this section)
Quite a lot this week. RE4 which may or may not have a gimped-ass trophy list (if you care about that. I do.) Persona 2: Innocent Sin for the first time in NA (I believe?) and the second-best version of Chrono Trigger you can buy. (Third if you count Wiiware and the original SNES version separately.)

Cubixx HD looks like an interesting take on an old classic. Might consider picking that one up.

But mainly because it's Crash mode solely, and not because of the perspective. I know I'm in the minority but I hated Crash mode in 3, and always loathed having to do them.
Not that I think Showtime was any better, but still.
So yeah, this upcoming week. I'm still getting RE4 on PS3 even though I really want the 360 version because I already have the cash for it in my PSN wallet. RE1, 2 and 3 for PS Plus subscribers is a nice bonus, but sadly I have all three and therefore get zilch.
EDIT: Hey Darth, why is the PS1 version of Chrono Trigger better than the DS version?
I mean, don't get me wrong. I'd love another game like Burnout Takedown, but Crash still looks fun.
edit: Chrono Trigger is on PS1? I thought it was just SNES and then Chrono Cross was PS1. Is there any difference between SNES and PS1?

They've already been rated by the ESRB, we'll get them eventually
edit: well i got the old girl working again and got my saves and whatnot off it. now im redownloading... really a lot of stuff onto my new one. why does syncing trophies the first time take so damn long? its been like 15 minutes and its around 25% done. anyway... this is a good week for psn stuff! cubixx hd looks real cool, plus all the RE stuff, and burnout crash too. im kinda glad the square games got pushed back, since i would feel bad spending that much in the store all in one whack.

Unfortunate about the PSOne Games but Squeenix being shoddy about that shouldn't surprise anyone. At least RE fans get quite a bit to be happy about, Plus Subscribers or not.

I'm real tempted at $10 (PSN + here), but I want to make sure.

Oh god, I know right? When I had my three-peat of YLODs a couple years back, it took a while each of the three times I got my system back. Doing it a month or so ago when it YLOD'd again? It took so long it's not funny, I left it syncing while I went off and used my PC. I don't know what they're doing during that but no wonder it takes an age to compare trophies or look at peoples profiles.
Lazy port. 30fps, no anti-aliasing and they couldn't even be bothered giving it a platinum (when the 360 version has 1000 points and Sony are really lenient when it comes to letting PSN titles have them). The trophy list is 9 bronzes, 2 silvers and 1 gold. Laughable.
Though (sadly) I'm still considering getting it, mostly because I don't want to drag my GC out just to play RE4. Really sucks that Capcom couldn't be bothered treating one of their classics with respect and it doesn't bode well for the inevitable DMC Collection.
cloudeagle/Wordherder/USA/no
I lost my Code Veronica disc though, so that might get bought.
Anyway this weeks PAL Update looks like this:
DLC is mostly the usual bollocks, but there is:
No idea what the Might and Magic thing is, but it's a cool game so that might be worth a look.
I'll be getting Lonesome Road and probably nothing else.
I know I will forget to renew and lose access to the free stuff, then be forced to pay full price. I would rather pay the discounted price to keep it indefinitely. Unfortunately, you cannot do that.

I guess Sony/Konami missed their Summer release for Castelvania HoD. My guess is Oct, probably around Halloween. Really want that for the 4 (actually just my son and I) player local.
Edit - Is FFVI supposed to be different than the GBA release? Upgraded graphics or any of the extras on it?

This is the RE4 HD re-release as far as Capcom is concerned, but like the Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell etc. HD re-releases it's just an up-scaled port of the original game.
It does have trophies, but no platinum apparently.
Sony clarified on Twitter that they weren't releasing Chrono Trigger/FFVI this week, but they are in the PSOne classics section of the update, so it would be those versions. Here's what to expect:
Original SNES translations and in-game content
Bestiary
A couple FMV cutscenes
Horribly awful loading times

I try to sign in and I get a dialogue box saying I have to accept the new terms and conditions. I click OK and I am brought to a "sorry, this site is under maintenance" page.

I ended up getting RE4 after all, I figured the €7.50 Plus price was too good to pass up.
It seems fine, but getting reacquainted with that control system is going to take a while.
