[Marvel Heroes Omega] RIP Gazillion Shut Down, Game Servers Close 11/24
Posts
Adventure mode itself is more content than MH has in total.
Rifts are an amazing addition that have ladders and records. Which is more than MH could ever hope for. Greater rifts are an actual challenge that you can build around.
You know that rebalancing? That's because classes can use more than just crit and crit damage. D3 literally had dozens of stats, affixes and such that matter. Cube added a whole new dimension to legendary hunting. Unlike MH which is fighting and crit for everyone! 6 bis artifacts for the entire roster.
Like D3 updates slow. Probably as slow as Mh, but every single system from performance to itemization to enemy mechanics are so far ahead of MH that you're basically comparing the NES to a modern quad gpu showfloor rig.
Rifts are nice but in the end what are they really? Loot grind to reach the next tier of loot grind. Ladders never excite me as they are just ancillary content with little real benefits to them other than leet cred.
Diablo is a horrible random grind to get that one piece of gear that lets you actually use the skills you want to, that is somewhat mitigated by the environments being randomized so they don't feel repetitive. The unique items do add interesting gameplay mechanics, but since everything is completely random drops, good luck experiencing any of it without a major time investment. Can get loot from killing anything which causes people to avoid bosses.
MH is a non-random grind to get that one piece of gear that, makes the skills you are already using and enjoying, better to get access to the next repetitive and grindy environment. Game play is probably the most snappy and interesting, suffers from only bosses giving gear, so people skip everything.
PoE skill tree is a nightmare, the gameplay feels dated and slow, and the environments are repetitive. It does have an interesting economy though.
I checked but that's one core type I do not have a lot of- sorry!
I'm so glad another game is taking (at least something similar to) Path of Exile's map system. I really wanted to like that game, but the most interesting part (the maps) is locked until end-game with a really slow leveling speed and a requirement to run through the story mode 3 times getting way harder every time, Diablo 1 and 2 style. If Danger Room works like that, without the bullshit grinding needed to get to it, I'll be super happy.
I have never worried about summons health on any of my summoners. Whatever incidental you get will keep them alive through anything they can survive. Just resummon them if they die.
It's pretty long, here's the "important" bit:
May be time to take a long break from this game. I feel like im out of things to do.
Maybe hop back in when DP gets his review.
Heat gen on ranged was still very slow to proc that first spitfire, so what I ended up doing for my rotation was, sorry cant remember the names right now, chest cannon CD to load that ammo -> ground aoe/slow -> single target/aoe fillers for a few seconds -> spirit regen CD -> big missle CD -> flamethrower to overheat -> spitfire -> singletarget/aoe fillers or siggy. Rinse and repeat. With this rotation and the pretty good gear I had on him I was able to keep the rotation up for a good long while. Not particuarily hard hitting but well enough to have a good clip on cosmic tasky. As good as any other char really.
I'm still pretty sure it will be just once.
Oh thank goodness.
Gaz is bad at drop rates
Response from Gaz: "Yeah this is going live this week, but we will continue to look at it."
Guess Black Panther fans can hold their breath for another 2 years.
aside from that I think it's fine
granted, I don't give a shit about his daggers and I would just be sticking with Predator's Frenzy, Savage Strike, and Knockdown Sweep for my build like I did way back
RIP Nick Fury
and they continue to push Green Goblin for some reason? WHY
Angela and Wasp could be cool though. Still gonna vote for Ms. Marvel. Is the poll on the GI website, the MH forums, where?
Apparently it was on the GI site yesterday (according to a reddit thread) but it's not available anymore. Seems like Green Goblin was winning.
Hes got problems. Tying his sweep to an ability that moves you our of position is a DPS loss. Using the sweep without the stealth component is a waste of time. Same issue with Panther Leap.
The biggest issue is spirit though. Simply not sustainable.
Wait no that's not true.
I will not beat you up for voting for Miles or Kamela. I will just give a very stern look, a sigh, and an "oh well" shrug.
Anyone who votes for Green Goblin I'm sending to Ocelot for "re-education".
Personally I think I'd like to see any of the others in the game sooner than Green Goblin, except maybe Miles who doesn't necessarily even need to be a separate character.
1. I'm at about 2k Omegas. I want to get Cyke through the trial. What Omegas do people suggest for this purpose?
2. Aside from Dr. Doom, is Rogue the only other character that can actually make full use of stuff like the Power Cosmic legendary? I looked in the official forums to see if anyone's built her out that way but haven't found one.
