Looking at Marvel's April solicits Standoff ends so it's 16 issues in only 2 months. I guess Civil War 2 starts in May? Don't see the reason for it starting in June like Bendis hinted at.

The only change I would make is the light blue abs to white

And maybe thicken up the red

Actually, yeah that new costume doesn't look half bad. The shield on the other hand...

One thing I'm actually surprised about is that I know next to nothing about the story of the movie. All I know is who's in the squad, and that there's
    a Batman cameo.
Normally these trailers spoil the shit out of everything.

I would guess that's because the film is a giant mess and they're trying to edit around it.

    Ugh

I wish we had old man steve for a bit longer

I loved the old man Steve storyline in She-Hulk.

using Queen in your movie trailer is cheating

it is the equivalent of name-dropping the city you are currently at in pro wrestling

When did Steve go back to being younger?

It'll probably happen in his anniversary event, Standoff. Both his new title and what looks to be a new Thunderbolts title seem to be a result of it. As for how, I think I read during the event's announcement...
...that a Cosmic Cube's involved with the story.

that's neat though still sort of hits at the problem i had with the one page bits in most of them, where it's like...the teaser to the upcoming story over and over again

i'll probably respect the pace a lot more like, a year from now when it's all collected, but deffo not what i'm looking for when following it now month to month

oh well! still good enough that i'll eagerly hop back in the second it's pressing forward again, and i'll definitely pick up the trade as soon as it's out

To be fair, volume 3 IS called Commercial Suicide. Gillen McKelvie knew it wasn't going to be a smash hit of an arc.

I guess they confirmed that Green Lantern will be appearing in Justice League, along with the Green Lantern Corps.

Do we know how long Spider-Women is going to last? I'll bite the bullet and get all the books for April so I don't miss any cool Earth-65 stuff, but I just don't care about Jessica Drew and it's going to get expensive fast

only thing DC has done wrong for me in these last 2 movies (Batman vs Superman & Suicide Squad) is badly cast Lex Luthor

    my hopes are getting up

You know, one of the things I'm the most bummed about regarding BvS is the fact that, of all the Batman movies to come out, Jeremy Irons' Alfred gets attached to this one.

Oh hey they're keeping Aquaman's origin

I figured with how tatted up he is and how warrior king he looks he would just be a pure Atlantean, but he's still Arthur Curry and he's still a half-breed Prince

I wonder if the Atlantians are polynesian or if it's Tom Curry.

It does bum me out that, judging from that Wonder Woman footage, every DC film is keeping that washed out dulled colors aesthetic

I was hoping they might have some actual color at some point

    Watched that Suicide Squad trailer

    Yeah that was definitely better

And also super GotG-y. Not to say they're just copying Marvel because I honestly don't think they are but I am betting there is some influence there.

Hate that Joker to death and probably still won't see it in theaters but that looks like something I would rent from Redbox or watch on Netflix sometime

It means we’ll have two Captain Americas. When Steve handed the shield to Sam, it didn’t come with any caveats. It’s his. Steve respects and admires what his old partner is doing, and wants him to carry on. There are enough problems out there, and enough bad guys, to keep both of them busy. They’ll have very different missions; Sam will continue fighting the battles no one else will go near, while Steve is faced with a resurgent threat from his past: Hydra is back, and stronger than ever.

For me, it’s great, because I get to tell two very different kinds of Captain America stories. If you’re liking what we’re doing in CAPTAIN AMERICA: SAM WILSON, with a more topical, of-the-moment take, we’ve got a lot more of that coming your way; but if you’re looking for that classic, timeless version, the one that’s steeped in the Greatest Generation with Cap fighting the face of true evil, now we’ve got that for you as well. I think they’ll complement each other nicely.

A lot of her movie does take place during World War 1. That was before they invented colors.

I think that, like, the title graphics and Joker's shit are colorful but most of it was pretty drab

Spencer has been pretty honest about shit before, I would give him the benefit of the doubt

Plus, dude would probably want a Steve Rogers book that sells huge right along side the film as much as Marvel since he gets royalties on trades and whatnot

I'm more willing to believe he knew Marvel would be receptive to the idea and it gives him a chance to write another high profile book.
