No. Pre-recorded Blu-ray Disc titles will play on any standard definition TV set, even if the video was encoded in High Definition. Likewise, a Blu-ray Disc recorder can also record standard definition video, for example from regular TV broadcasts or camcorders. A Blu-ray Disc can store around 10 hours of broadcast quality standard definition video on a single-layer disc, or around 20 hours on a dual-layer disc.
kuribo ps3 software emulation is really good. people don't seem to acknowledge it at all, but it works well and more compatibility issues are resolved with every firmware upgrade

The game with the camera, a starter deck (30 cards, same with every game) and a booster pack runs for $70, but you can find it for around $55 at amazon last I checked. Themed decks of 30 cards with 1 hero card (not possible to get with boosters) costs $15, booster pack of 8 costs $4, and you can find a box of 38 booster packs online for around a $100, though they are in short supply right now.

You will need an adaptor to transfer your existing saves. I imagine there are a lot of cheap used ones by now, since you really only need them once.
The bikes are a pain in the ass, and you can crash 4 times in 30 seconds, but if you have a good run, you feel so damn extreme.
