I've run with one really good boomkin. Unfortunately, that person was also unreliable as hell, so they didn't become a regular. Have yet to see another Boomkin top the meters like that.
We had a sole Boomkin in my old guild. He was very well geared for the content we were doing. Did great damage in 5 mans and Kara, but yeah, threat problems. He'd be at the top of the charts up until Prince, and he would languish in the middle/ bottom for Gruul. And that's with being put in the caster buff group o' doom.

This space eventually to be filled with excitement
Are these threat problems before or after they made the resto talent apply to damage as well? I forget which patch they did that in...
In 5-mans, I have never, ever, ever seen a Boomkin take 5/5 Subtley. Or 4/5, 3/5, 2/5, 1/5, or any other fractional variation thereof.
They'd rather pull aggro every -- single -- goddamn -- time, and rely on cool-headed enterprising Rogues like moi to keep the mob from biting their head off with mah stunnin'

Back when I used to spec for PvE, I often had 4/5 Subtlety. Couldn't have 5/5 because I needed those points elsewhere. Namely TREESQUAD OF MINOR ANNOYANCE!!!
I can't tell whether I should do a Let's Play of Super Mario RPG, bleh. (I've found watching Let's Plays are excellent for avoiding boredom while playing WoW)

It can come in handy. Back when a friend tried to get me back into the game so I could play with him and his g/f I rolled a character (Alliance...*shudder*) on a PvP server. Some bastard (a shaman, around level 56 IIRC) managed to get on top of the roof of Southshore's inn and was sniping lowbies. You couldn't stay in LoS very long as he could move out of the way, but a moonkin arrived and summoned some treants on his ass. They spawned on top of the roof and tore him a new one.

Insomniac Games said a while back that it was "flattered" that the spherical worlds of Mario Galaxy were inspired by Ratchet and Clank. But Miyamoto says he's never heard of it.
[...]
Miyamoto said he was "surprised" by Insomniac's comment. "In terms of the spherical worlds and anti-gravity," he went on to explain, "we had the original idea as soon as we finished the development of Mario 64 and had been experimenting with it for many years, even on the N64."
"It's not an idea we got from anywhere else," adds Miyamoto, before adding: "I'm sorry but I have to admit that I've never seen the game in question. Is it a PC game?"

Silly Insomniac Games trying to find their way into WoW chat thread.
Now that we're doing partial-premade BGs with 5-6 people I'm actually having fun in PVP again.
Random highlight: me (holy paladin), buddy (disc priest) and random MS warrior guarding our flag in WSG for a bit[1]. Ret paladin + MS warrior try to keel disc priest. Me and him just stand there and heal through it all while the friendly MS warrior kills both pally and warrior. Fun fun.
[1] We don't believe in this silly "defense" thing, so we're all always on the move toward the enemy flag and/or flag carrier.
We have a priest in the guild who is absolutely insane about his robot. :P
One of my guildies freaked out because I banked the robot in favor of my typical accompanying pet, the firefly. He made this big deal about how the robot was the best pet ever. I was like, whatever dude. Then he wiped us in heroic ramparts. :P

When I first got mine I didn't know that the robots attack each other. So I was running around IF and I see a bunch of rockets swarming at me. I freak out when they blow Roborobert up. I also didn't know they died.

The firefly or oozeling or any whelpling etc. are all cooler than the stupid fucking robot that 1shots other stupid fucking robots.

In 5-mans.
Because apparently I'm too awesome as a healer to let me boomkin it up in raids.
Stupid guildies. But, of course, they're right.
Also, jokes on them as I'm unguilded now. Har-dy-har-har.
I'm the same on my paladin. :P
Sucks to be so awesome, huh?
Then I saw a geared one in a raid.
Now I call them "Aggrokins" and just hope we kill the boss before their mediocre (but surprisingly high aggro) dps gets us all killed.
That said, I don't think we have a raiding Boomkin anymore. They're all trees except the one feral who is a superb tank.
They'd rather pull aggro every -- single -- goddamn -- time, and rely on cool-headed enterprising Rogues like moi to keep the mob from biting their head off with mah stunnin'
Even after. It was more of a "DPS LAWLS" than a lack of threat reduction ability though.
How many people do we have for that now?
and also less Retadins
if I brought all of the Retadins, we'd have like fourteen people
I will go tank then.

Tank: Me
DPS: Oboro and Fodder
who else?
I can't tell whether I should do a Let's Play of Super Mario RPG, bleh. (I've found watching Let's Plays are excellent for avoiding boredom while playing WoW)
DPS: Etoile, Gorlan (Shaman), Fodlock (Warlock), sum Retadin
Heals: sum Retadin I am forcing to respec
need more heals and moar tank

There is a lesson to be learned here, children.

Edit
Oh, didn't realize it was a problem. We'll blame the long post I was working on...
Speaking of, I just posted a huge wall of text (spoiler-blocked) into the Profession thread if anybody want to read it.
Those kind of posts are frowned upon. I don't think it is a rule yet, but consider this post by Tube:
When I first got mine I didn't know that the robots attack each other. So I was running around IF and I see a bunch of rockets swarming at me. I freak out when they blow Roborobert up. I also didn't know they died.
What can I say, I don't feel my paladin is complete without his mini-diablo.

From the gifts you get from under the tree in IF/Org.
