    Depends upon the time, too. Aziz prays about five times a day so... y'know he's an early riser. This might apply to Dardek as well.

    Siali arrives at the inn. She heads for Aziz's room. Knocking on the door, she finds him awake, reciting his morning prayers.

    "Aziz. Rouse the others. There is an attempt on the mayors life that her guards will not be able to handle. No time to explain."

    The Dragonborn finished his song-like prayer to Io before responding to Siali in a nod. He rolled up his prayer carpet and gave it proper respect before his countenance became that which Edgil sometimes called his "game face".

    Aziz roused the Knights in typical fashion. Perhaps it was why Siali had come to him first.

    The Dragonborn stalked down the hallway, giving a single blow to each of his allies' door that was strong enough to shake the walls.

    "Knights... assemble!"

    As you charge your way through Moonstair keep, you find the place in considerable distress. Groups of Bandits wearing a single red glove on their right hands seem to be raiding the place.

    You make your way through to the tower where they mayor's office resides. You make your way past a few weak bands of bandits, until you get to the next to last floor of the tower.

    Emerging from the staircase you find a group of Dragonborn Soilders standing guard while long-fanged undead creatures you assume to be some sort of vampire drain the last bit of life out of the guards on this floor.

    1. No one said "I'm taking an extended rest", and we didn't elapse a day to imply such a thing, so as of right now, no.
    2. These are Red Hand operatives. Red gloves and alal.
    3. You could duck into on of the side rooms and hide around a corner for cover.

    Dardek lets out a mighty shout, and once again shines like the sun, so brightly that the undead cannot abide by the light! As the light died down and the Vampires were reduced to ash, Dardek rushed one of the Dragonborn.

    "YOU! YOU ALLY YOURSELF WITH THE FOULNESS OF UNDEATH! YOU CAN NEVER BE REDEEMED, AND SO I WILL DELIVER YOU TO YOUR FINAL PUNISHMENT!"

    Dardek delivered a mighty blow to the Dragonborn, the light of Pelor falling about Edgil.
    Pelor's Radiance - Close Burst 3, which if I'm not mistaken, encompasses all of the vampire spawn. Wisdom versus Will. 1d20+13 = 231d20+13 = 27 1d20 + 13 = 26 HITx3! Damage (overkill!) 3d12=26

    Edgil ignores the flames and focuses on the minds of the gladiators, twisting arcane energies into images of dozens of Knights. Although one of the gladiators retains his focus, the other two can't help but be confounded by their imaginary aggressors.

    Minor Action: Inspiring Word on himself - Aziz heals 21 + 15 = 36 hp

    SIALI: if you want to get in there and flank dragonborn B, now would be a great time. He will have a -2 to hit you from Aziz' mark AND if he hits you anyway, Aziz will use Shielding Retaliation (see statblock) to take the damage instead and make an attack of his own. Plus we get to cancel his precious "lone fighter" status. Also, there'd be some Brash Assault for us next round.

    And don't worry about dying either because I've still got Fearless Rescue ;)

    yeah man, comin in for a landing

    Siali runs along down the stairs to help Aziz. Narrowly missing an attack (or being hit by it), she quickly lunges at the gladiator, peircing his side.
    move: move to B8 (taking an opportunity attack - which i am +4 to AC against)
    standard: Tricksters Blade vs Gladiator B (1d20+20=21, 2d4+4=12, 3d8=9) - critical miss! are you kidding? 2/3 rolls today crit misses
    Action point reroll (1d20+20=34) (spending an action point with daggermasters action) - HIT! 21 Damage

    also, i would like to use my counterstrike guards-

    Edgil fires a bolt of lightning straight at one of the gladiators. He tries to deflect it with his sword, but he only manages to split the bolt, striking himself and one of his comrades while narrowly missing the other.

    DVG this might screw with that entire turn you took probably (i'm assuming "finishing blow" requires that an enemy be bloodied... and this action will cause Siali not to be bloodied) but we gave you plenty of warning that if Siali got hit with an OA that I was going to do this.

    As the enemy Dragonborn bears down on his target, Aziz throws himself in the way of the blow. The Gladiator is caught off guard, and Aziz' blade strikes home!
    during Siali's turn, Aziz uses Shielding Retaliation as an immediate interrupt

    Aziz takes 12 points of damage (which at that point, would put him at 64/76) and then...

    1d20 17=32, HIT

    2d10 9=19 damage to Gladiator B, which drops that particular foe to 28 hp)
